Hi all ive been aMCH for some time now and was on the tale end of the nerf so sort of seen the 2 sides ofCH.I was dissapointed at first with the nerf but grown to get used to it and stuck it out to master in the event of another revamp. However time as gone by with not much improvement although my pets do hold there own in tanking ability..in PVE anyway . Ive been thinking of dropping CH but what i really want to know is will there be ever be a revamp or not?. Ive read plenty of forums to suggest there might be if there is hope then i will hold on to the getting rarer by the day MCH title if it doesnt . Then i may drop to persue another template .It feels like we got to much nerf all at once and we all deserve a little more power in the pet department i.e maybe upping the CL up abit more fromsay 70 - 90?? atleast this would even things up abit in PVP etc . What you guys think??

I think that with JTL due to be released in Oct and after less than a month of Beta testing, I would not look for a revamp for at least a year. Even at that, the best that CH can hope for is we stay the way we are now. We will probably have to use crappier armor, weapons, and buffs but so will everyone else. We have, supposedly, already been balanced. At least that is what the Devs said about the last great nerf.
If you want to do PVP, I would drop it. If you want a good template for high level PVE, I would drop it. If you like roaming around taming useless pets and seeing the sights, I would keep it. That is pretty much what we do now.

IMO, if you're asking that question, then no, it's not. You have to love CH, no doubts or second guessing, to keep it the way things are. The thing to keep in mind is, even the mythical combat rebalance will not make pets stronger, all it will do is make players closer to our pets' levels.

My pets are what keep me as an MCH, not my abilities or power. You don't take up CH to be mighty, you take it up for the pleasure...

I tried but couldn't stick with it.
There is a great amount of novelty in CH but not much utility. I wanted to make it work and I struggled for a while with the decision but just couldn't justify the countless hours of rare hunting, waiting 15 seconds before starting in on a lair, the uselessness of mounts---you all know the list so I won't go on. I think if the devs would just acknowledge that the class is not on par with the other elites at least some of the negativity would fade.
The general idea that the class offers and the implementation of the taming system is so good that it makes the horrific imbalance and grave disappointments of the class sting that much more.
In truth, although I miss my pets (they are all still in my pad) I am very happy I left CH, I can only describe it as relief. There is so much else out there that I wasn't trying because of my attachment to CH, and the grind that it took to get to MCH only contributed to my reluctance to surrender theboxes.
I have mastered Pike now, to pair with rifle and am having a blast playing my character again.

Horses for courses I'm afraid.
The pets and animal behaviour is the only reason I stick with the game.
The stupidly overpowered combat, being knee-deep in Jedi, messed up ecomony, etc, etc would provide more than enough reason to leave if the pet and animal behaviours weren't by far the best implimented I've yet seen in a MMORPG.
But then pets are the thing I'm into
.
If you acquire skills simply for combat effectiveness then the best advice is to go with whatever FOTM is current.
MCH will only be viable in comparison with other classes after the combat revamp. SOE have already put that back to early/mid next year - and I very much suspect it will slip even further or be forgotten about.
I personally base my decisions on what is in the game now, or what is actually on the test center NOT on what is "promised" to happen "soon". Until it hits the TC (i.e. has actually been coded) anything like that falls into the category of what we used to call "vapourware".
Forget the comat revamp - think about what MCH means to you now and whether you enjoy playing it now.
