actualy theyre probably like me, VERY annoyed about the way all players are being put into 'groups' based on how much hologrinding they did. if you were a die hard and commited hologrinder you will probably be visited by the old man as soon as you start to glow. if yourlike me, one of the people who actualy played the game rather than hologrinding, you will have to wait several weeks, if not months, before the old man is allowed to viist you. and this is all done to stop dathomir becomeing too crowded.
For the sake of clarity: if you mastered 7 or 8 of hour holocron prfoessions (yes it turns out there were actualy EIGHT professions we had to master, NOT 5 as the devs told us. you will be visted by the old man as soonas you become glowing.
if you mastered 6 holcron profs your in group 1; 5 profs = group 2; 4 profs = group 3, 3 profs or less, your in group 4. as i ignored the hologrinding and actualy spent a year playing the game rather than killing a few million quenkers i am in group 4. and will have to wait weeks if not months before the old man visits me.
oh and one last thing, under the previous system you got a second character to become a jedi. now you can only get the second character once your 1st has already become a jedi (obtained the jedi padawan title) which would mean abaondoning a large amount of the skills you currently have. i doubt this would trouble the die hard and commited hologrinders, but for players like me, who have spent a long time carefuly tailoring their character to be the way we like them, its something more of a obstacle.
also once we are glowing and go to the village we can then start to grind our way up the FS skill tress, before gaining the jedi padawan title and starting to grind our way up to jedi knight and master. the hologrinding is gone. it will soon be replaced with FS grinding. woop-de-doo.
just to finish off, a guy i know in game sent has me several tells since the patch went live, he wanted to know WHERE the warren was, even tho he'd spent months on dantooine grinding TK/Fencer/swordsman etc.. who and where Nym was, then where he coulld get a shuttle to Lok from. he also wanted to know where jabbas palace was cos he didnt know if hed done that quest or not yet. he started glowing early this morning and he tells me that the village looks pretty cool actualy.
