Well this is where I can add my new insight and a bit of humor.I started the great jedi grind a while ago and have since mastered 20 professions.The 21st one which is almost done is Master Creature Handler.And since starting CH I have decided not to follow the why of the force cuz I enjoy Ch to much to drop it.Don’t know what it is but I have come to really love this profession.Yes there are things missing from the prof but I still believe they will change.If you look at the profession posts CH is 3rd in over all posts, right behind jedi and bounty hunter.To me that means CH is a group of people that really enjoy this part of the game.Don’t know what it is that makes CH so enjoyable but it is fun.Just the other day I was using my torton to smash spammers on cnet.No dmg was done to them but I did get some enjoyment from it.If it wasn’t for speed issue I would never use my speeder, I love riding my BE dewback (they must be green for me).But enuff ranting from me now time for my small wish list.

1 better speeds from the mounts

2 a place to drop off my pets in my house or a stable, a trophy room would be cool

3 MCH should be able to do range special attacks from mounts, except maybe some of the rifle ones (conceal shot)

4 more tricks,and commands

5 weapons and armor for mounts

6 CH quests, besides looking for the ultra rare tamables

7and my main one is a mountable rancor,if it can be done by night sisters so can we (Courtship of Princess Leia)

just imagine riding a mounted bull rancor wielding a giant bone club, tell me that wouldn’t be the best thing ever

one more final thought look around your server and see what is more rare.Jedi or creature handlers

CH's are more rare.

But thx for your post. Nice ideas too. Most of them have been brought up several times already.

Glad to hear you're enjoying it

Working with my pet to complete a mission or having one of my pets rescue me from a dangerous situation are great moments for me. Additionally I love finding and taming new babies especially species I haven't tamed before. Even if they have minimal combat effectiveness and are only CL 11, I still get excited at finding a new tameable. And my biggest worry has become what if I encounter a rare baby without having a high enough taming skill to tame it (as I am still not a master CH, but working my way slowly that direction).

Asfor the mounted attacks, specials armor and such, the original design for mounts included them. Just like weapons, multipersonand customizable components were originally intended for vehicles. Hopefully items like these will eventually be added as they would flesh out the whole ideal of riding a mount into combat (combat from vehicles is somewhat iconic to SW as well).

More speed on mounts will likely not happen, as the Devs have indicated that the swoop is already as fast as can be managed by the server for vehicle speeds and that they want vehicles to be faster than mounts. I can understand the reasoning but what I would like to see is that vehicles be given a range of speeds based on an upgradeable engine component (instead of just one speed for each type of vehicle), then mounts could rightly fit into the speed range as faster than the slowest vehicles but slower than the fastest.

Stables or trophy rooms would be very nice as well, and more commands and tricks would definately be fun. Unforutnately player mountable Rancors are highly unlikely as the explanation given prior to the release of mounts is that they can only be controlled for mount purposes through the force, which is why only the force witches have tamed the rancors. But since we can tame the rancors as a pet to begin with, I would think it would make sense to allow them to be mountable as a master if nothing else, or through theuseof some Force Sensitive skills along with CH skills.

Just my thoughts, do with them what you will.

I agree with you there. Realistically though, I'm not sure how much faster they could go with out using a stun baton to the hind quarters, even then you might get a bite isstead of a faster gallop heh heh.

Not sure about this one. I'd rather hold my breathe for the stables.

This is kind of a broad statment isnt it? We have 2 tricks already, so I can see maybe 1 more for MCH, but commands, that is where you lose me. If you have a specific idea great, otherwise with our luck, they will give us a new trick animation of teh animal licking himself and a combat command of 'Cowar' which lets teh pet instantly store in teh middle of combat while the owner is being mauled by several annoyed Pikets......oh yea, we already have that dont we?

I would honeslty love to see barding for mounts. Problem is.. barding will grant the mount an armor rating, which we all have seen that the great powers that be have specifically decreed that pets shall not have decent armor ratings..so, as cool as it would be, again, I must say I'll hold my breathe for the stables. As for the weapons, I'm sure we'll all be playing KOTOR 5 before the Devs even consider it.

O.o I know there is a thread around about a MCH only mount, or at least the faintest hint of a remote possibility of a twinkle of a chance of such a project being TALKED about. Its not Vert I doubt, its teh Devs. However, I too would like to see a fantastic MCH only mount, rancor or not, it would be nice. Personally I'm a bigpreditory catlover. I know my Grand Wrix stand over me and would easliy mountable with a costum saddle.

Dont take any of this as a flame, its not intended to be. Just felt I should toss in a bit of reality to wish lists. Why? If a wish is a attainable wish, its more likely to come true. <ahem> stables! <cough-cough>

Welcome to CH! May your companions bring you much joy. We have a list somewhere of things that we want changed in the profession...problem is, we have so much traffic that nothing stays on page 1 for long lol...

we only have the 3rd highest post count cause 80% of the posts are rants of why the class is dead, and of people leaving it... not to often something useful comes along

But the reason for us posting rants is that NOTHING is happening. No ideas of us are implemented none of are bugs are really fixed. Now what shall we do? We can't do more but posting good ideas for months ... well, and now it's time our ideas are put into the game or at least commented by the devs.
