Right..so here I am..sittin' in the cantina..chiilin with a wookie and few ladies. I'm thinking to myself "Gee what should i do now?". So i think for awhile..then i say to myself "Ryuketsu you ol dog you...go for ch!"....then i also think to myself "Ooo people said cH takes nearly the longest out of any tree to lvl up!"...but i say...bah I'm gonna do it coz those damn baby nuna's are just too cute, even if you do cook them for Nuna chicken wings later. So Yesterday i take up CH. Well i better get started i say to myself. SO I'm on corellia and i join a sharnaff group. Now to make a short story even shorter..i played about5 hours yesterday and oh about 3 hours today so 8 hours all togethor...I am currently 3-3-3-4 in ch...in 8 hours...why in gods name do you peopel say its hard? If anything it is the EASIEST tree there is! I get 480 ch xp for a regular sharnaff and 620xp for a bull one. I honestly don't see why you people think its so hard lol or am i just really missing something??

Wow. I didn't have a pet that could tank, much less kill, sharnaffs when I first started working on CH.

Wait, I bet you didn't either. Being "power-leveled" is fun eh? I got a little bit of it myself early on, and it was a nice little boost.

Most of it was in groups yes but they don't have pets so my pet takes the beating even when i was novice CH its some type of horse looking pet. I even soloed some of it by just buffing myself..telling the pet to hit once then called it off....its not that hard i have a max lvl of40 and im still using my lvl17 pet

Because not everyone has as much combat skill as you, nor can they get in a group that handle sharnaff.

Assuming you already had the Scout pre-requisites plus enough for novice CH,you would need 742,000 CH exp to get to 3/3/3/4. That's 92,750 exp per hour or 1545 exp per minute.

So you claim that you were killing 3 creatures per minute for 8 hours.

Thanks Cail, knew the numbers didn't look right. At an average of 550 per sharnoff, that was 1350 in an eight hour period. At say, 5 per spawn, that was 270 spawns or about 34 per hour. So you were going through spawns at a rate of one per 1.75 minutes. Not including travel time, respawning delay, and they sure couldn't have been from a mission terminal unless someone was carrying one with them.

Can we all have the secret?

While I agree that his xp gain was extremely fast, it is not all that unlikely because with a good group of 20 people on dathomir running enraged rancor missions, you can get over 1k xp per rancor and there are generally 6-9 rancors per lair and 2 lairs per person, so you can do the math and see that you can get a LOT of ch xp in a short amount of time, you just need to find the right group. The group I was in was taking down the rancors in a few seconds, but we were packing a lot of firepower also.

That kind of XP gain is incredible. Not the amazing kind, but the kind that isn't credible.

I've been hunting sharnaff since probably one month after I got CH and discovered that my GSP could just *barely* tank them if I had a medic with me. Back then I believe I was looking at about 800 per bull and obviously less for the females. They are just about the best hunting I've ever done, good XP gains, good spawn rates and fairly predictable. The other best hunting are swamp humbabas (or were... I can't even find a herd of them anymore) because even at half the XP per kill, they're easy to manage agro and you can take them down more than twice as fast.

If your XP gains are that fast, it's because you've got a powerful but low-level BE pet that didn't exist previously, you have a big group doing major damage and killing them quickly, and you have a mobile mission terminal to bring up spawns on demand.

He says he was on corellia fighting sharnaffs, not on dathomir fighting rancors.

Sorry, but this guy was either dreaming or smoking something.

Not only do the numbersnot add up but he said he did most of it in a group with no other pets. Hmmm. no other pets most likely means no CH present. I wonder who was training him during this 8 hour period.

There's still plenty of BE's that can make just about any skin have any stats, and get around SOE's "Auto-Nerf". You know, when you try and call out that 15kHAM Cu'Pa, only for the game to say it's illegal.... I don't use them cause I don't wanna risk my account, but I see people doin that all the time to get MCH relatively fast. Tons say that SOE will catch them all, but I doubt it, they've already moved on to the next "priority"

Not starting a war here, just stating what I've seen, so this guy's theory does actually hold some water.
