Ok I just picked up novice CH and I was wondering what the best planet is for me to head out to so I can find babies to tame and start getting XP. I am also a novice roffleman (if that helps)

Please note I am not on a hologrind and I am not looking to get to master in 4 days I have already accepted that it will take me a month or 2 to get master riffleman and CH as I do have a fulltime job to go to so I cant play SWG all day.

So what planet should i start out with ?

Go to the Geonosian cave on Yavin IV. Just have your pet attack the Geonosians when they are close to being dead. There should be enough people there to deal the damage, so you don't need a good pet or anything. You'll get 1000+ exp per geonosian, and they spawn very rapidly.

I read the question a little different than Maelas did.

I'd say right now, Naboo, if you're looking to learn CH from Novice and actually work it. Lower density of critters than Yavin, which can bepretty toughto a Novice with limited combat skills. Naboo has a lot of tameables at low and mid levels (through lvl 34); density is pretty decent.

Keep in mind planets change periodically too, though.

Also being a non-holo novice CH, I find Daeric on Talus to quite good. I have tamed about six babies so far and then use them to attack the low level creatures right outside the city, that is when no new players are around which is most of the time (Talus itself is usually deserted). Best pet so far is a minor sludge panther, cute little guy with a great roar when he attacks. Made enough credits from missions to buy a speeder, 600+ damage power hammer, 300+ damage curved sword and even some decent armor.

Other times I go on pet hunting (taming) expeditions, just pick a direction and off I go. This ismost enjoyable and makes a wonderful break from constant fighting. It's also a great way to see the sights and discover what other high level creatures are out there.

I am also working rifles to novice, currently at rifles IV. But novice swordsman has been my life saver so many times that I plan on mastering it along with CH.

If having fun is a measure of success then I am very succesful at the moment.

Yes, I agree that the Geonosian cave is a bit of a Holo-grinders way. However, I still believe that the poster would have better luck if he went there for a day or two. Got a few levels, then started to tame/train. This would give you a nice start, and you will have enough commands to be able to get a good amount of experience from each tame. Also, you will have a bit higher max CL off the start, so you will be able to get some different pets.

While the Geonosian lab is a cool place to go, I find it to be full of people using bugs and the sort to level up, not very fun to hang around if ya ask me, even if your just telling your pet to attack random things.

I found that Dantooine was not bad of a planet - taming Lesser Plains bols is nice, however thats about the easiest thing you'll find there. Naboo is great b/c of the large amount of lesser creatures that spawn (with babies too) So I would say either Naboo or Corellia are good planets.

Also - the idea of picking a direction and then just taming everything on the way, or checking out some of the things in the POI that are on the way is great. I do this on a regular basis, sometimes about 2 times a day, maybe more.

I found the quickest way to lvl up my CH was going to Dathomir with stronger people than myself, and going after Rancor's- lots of fun, you dont even have to attack the thing, just have your pet attack.

if your looking to train yourself the max amount of babies in the shortest amount of time I say go to Tatooine and plot the Wayfar Anchorhead and Bestine triangle, per square meter there are more baby spawns in this area then anyother planet. but if your looking for raw quck CH exp due to Holo grinding then I agree the Geonoasian Cave entrance is your quickest route.
