rebels dont become "friends" with ewoks until after ROTJ, and that is some years down the road yet...

Yeah, this is a continuity thing.

Besides, as the movies pointed out, the GCW wasn't won on the ground...it was won in space, and it was really won by a handful of individuals.

Speaking of continuity how many footsoldiers did you see commanding 3 AT-ST's? If you want continuity AT-ST's should be vehicles instead of faction pets and you should die when the AT-ST does. So hey I am all for them removing AT-ST's till they release mounts and vehicles and than letting people use them that way.

Faction Vehicles ... now that makes a lot of sense. Especially combat vehicles.

I would love to tame those furry little bastards. There could be little puny ones under cl15 to sell as pets. Then there could be bad ass warriors (lvl 23, so we could have 3 out) with medium armor and some wicked attack. and the best part... you HAVE to be rebel to tame them and use them.
