Thread: What should I tame now?

Hello Beastmasters,
I am brand new to this profession. I will tell you that I AM on a holo grind but I am not here to ask the normal "What should I do to master in 3 days?" questions. I do however have a question about what good my BE clothes are. I bought undershirt, duster, and pants ginving me levels of taming increases.
+55 to wild creature taming
+50 to ferocious creature taming
I wanted to know whether this means as a novice I can now go train my max level plus 50 or not? Or is it just my liklihood of training these types of creatures has gone up? I am currently a novice and have been told to go up the taming tree first. Please let me know if this is right. Also, if you could recommend a creature to tame since I have these clothes, I would appreciate it.

+55 to wild creature taming
+50 to ferocious creature taming
First there is a +25 cap on each of these. Second, these increase you chance of successful taming but do not increase The CL of pet you can tame. As a novice, you can tame CL 12 pet. The plus to ferocious should allow you to tame a CL 12 and below agro pet without Taming II. There is nothing in the game that increased the CL of a pet you can tame and contol. The only way to increase this is buy getting the CH Skills from XP.
