I've tried on four differentbabies without any luck at all. I'm a MCH so Ididn't think I'd have a problem here. I bought those almond cookies hoping to boost my chances without any luck.Any tips or ideas that you can throw my way would be a great help.

exactly as was mentioned above , if your not a wookiee charcter , then you will need bio-clothing made to even tame these....might take a few trys but you will get your baby soon enough...gl and i hope you get your baby

Greetings,

I am a human CH and was able to tame 2 of the 3 Screecher babies I have come across without BE clothes.

For my first, the conditions were about as perfect as they could get. It was a non-misison lair with only one Screecher. I was able to tame the beast on the third try. The first two tries failed only in that kept flying out of range at the last moment of the tame. Once he stayed put, it was no problem.

Thesecond Screecher was lost in the usual way. I noticed him amongst a group of three for a non-mission lair. On the first taming attempt he bit me and another adult attacked. I burst run, but the AOE disease from the parent also aggrod some Bolle Bol Colts that were closeby. I was unable to dispatch the foes fast enough to keep the baby alive.

The third Screecher came from a non-mission lair I passed by and decided to clean out to add to the wooly hide collection. The lair had three Screechers. On the first tap, a baby spawned. I took my usual taming precautions and failed about 4 times. Then he bit me and aggro'd another adult on me. Fortunaely I was able to burst run quickly enough so they did not launch the old disease trick. As I ran, the baby gave up the chase first and then I let the adult chase me far enough to a point I could dispatch him the try to retame the baby. At this point the baby was well out of aggro range of anything in the area, so I just kept trying until successful. Fortunately, he did not disease me during the next three times when he bit me.

I guess the strategy I use is try to use is to wait until the baby has left the group a little. If it attacks, burstrun into an area with few to no distractions, so when it does give up the chase, the baby will have quite a ways to run back to the lair. Usually, that run lasts about 50m.This tactic did not work on the fourth Arachne Widow baby I tried to tame. It would attack me occasionally once I got into taming range. Eventually it poisoned me and would not give up the chase. I got distracted by a phone call and died of the poison. No baby once I returned. :<

I fully endorse BE clothing. Ifully believemy garmentsmade all the difference taming my third Arachne Widow (first try) and Bull Rancor (needless to say, but also first try). However, those darn Arachne Warriors still resist and bite me.

Good luck to All,

I never came across a baby until after I had gotten some Bio Clothes. I tamed on the 2nd try. If what I understand is true, the bio clothes helps increase your odds of taming the pet.

In the past, I tamed a Kliknik Defender, but it took more than 30 tries, 7 agros and almost and hour, but the Kliknik Hunter only took two tries. I got my Rancor on the 2nd try, and my Gurreck on the first try.

Look at as a Random number from 1 to 10. With Novice you get one of these numbers as the magic taming number. As you progress up the CH tree you you accumulate more numbers as yours. If the random number hits one of your numbers you succeed and get the tame. Say at Master CH non Wookie you have 7 numbers and as Wookie you have 8 numbers. You have a 70/80% chance of taming the creature. With taming clothes of +12 you would get 8/9 numbers and with taming clothes of the max +25 you would get 9 numbers and a 90% chance at a tame each try (I think Wookies are already capped at +25 if they add taming clothes to their racial bonus, not sure though). Anyway, the taming clothes will get you a higher chance of taming.

I hope that makes sense, and that it helps.

I am human and tamed my screecher without any clothing of any sort on my 5th try.

But, I do recomment getting some. I got a hat with +25 taming vicious/+25 taming wild for 50k. It's worth it.

I got them N of the Smugglers Outpost. Both were non lair spawns. The first link here is my story of the tame.

This link is one describing locations where people spotted Gurrecks.

Good luck.
Also, the second one I got was right after a January hotfix, I don't remember what day, but I came across more then a dozen of them in the same general area 1K N of Smugglers.

When you are working lairs where the animal/petshave area attacks, always drag what you're fighting away from the lair a bit. That way whenever something new spawns, it will NOT join the fight. I usually drag them around 50m away from the lair, and have never had a baby killed on me.

The two babies I saw, were not from lairs, but wild spawns, no Lair. If that helps any.
