I never posted on this board, although I had great respect for the CH, particularly those who, like the SLs of the past, stuck through the profession from the begininng with all the broken promises and lies.
In a manner of speaking, we've all lost our professions. Yes, you specifically have lost the profession itself. But my Rifleman is dead. My Pistoleer is dead. And of course my Jedi, a profession in the NGE, is DOA.
I wanted to post to tell you I feel your pain and anguish over loss of things you spent so much time and effort obtaining and stuck with.
If there is any way to save the game now, I do not see it. They never understood that extreme game changes lead to a death spiral of cancellations. And really, if they think that the kiddies will buy SWG and STICK with it, they are gravely mistaken. Kids don't play games long. Mature players do. And they are driving all of us away.
I read a report on Voodoo Extreme from one of the SOE Game Designers, who explained that the changes were made because the game was lousy. And that they did their vaunted focus, etc.
Did they include ONE of us in these focus groups? Were these focus groups done in Preschool?
Sigh. In any event, we are all in the same boat from one perspective. We have all lost our game.
I salute and respect you all, and wish you the very best of luck in future.

Well if the game was lousy it was because the game designers and Devs made it that way instead of trying to fix the bugs. When they gave up on battlefields in the game I got the feeling they no longer had a clue and missed a chance to make them instance large battles, Places were faction players could either fac e NPCs and/or other players. That just seems more fun then fughting inside a city or a base someone placed in the middle of nowhere tome.
I am just trying to think happy thoughts at this point ![]()
