A mate of mine on Farstar has just started playing a different sci-fiMMORPG.
Its a Swedish endeavour called "Project Entropia" (with 300,000 players atm)
Well their devs are clever, cos in the next patch (7.8) they are just about to introduce TAMING
So, I am reading up and may well give it a go. The only thing I havent quite got my head around yet is its cash system.
The game has no monthly subscription, but you use real money to convert to game creds to buy stuff. Sounds dubious , but the bonus is it works both ways. If you become a millionaire in-game you can withdraw real cash too !!!
$1 real = 100 PED ( project entropia dollars)
I will look into it a bit more and report back, but the screenshots look beautiful, just google it if u wanna see, and maybe we'll soon have a BEAST guild over there.

I played itthe first time it came out. If game hasn't changed, it was very difficult to do any profitable thing so you had to invest RL money from time to time to be able to get new things and so.
This can have changed and anyway you only spend RL money when you want, without a monthly fee.

Just think $15/mo to SOE or $15/mo to your PE account that becomes 150 PED per month and $30 every 3-6 mo is another 600-1200 PED per year.
I am downloading the game as I write this to arrange to see how it is.
