I asked a few days ago for a list of who I could and couldn'targue or disagree with. I was told as long as I was civil I could voice my opinions without worries. This was an untruth.
I have found by watching that if the ones in power don't like what you are saying they can and will delete and ban.
It is true we are visitors to this forum and they are in charge, but just because they have that power doesn't make it right to use it on a routine basis.
I regret that I will never have the chance to really learn about what is going on "behind the scenes" but I will just go back to playing the game as is. For awhile.
See ya'll ingame

Its not so much that you can't complain, lord knows there is plenty of that here.
What you can't do is issue a call to arms and encourage others to storm the castle as it were. You also can't go on the sort of tirade that crosses the line from criticism to personal insult.
Some folks don't realy know how to carry on a civil discussion about games. Its not realy worth getting all worked up about. Its a game. Calling people names and calling for rebovolt is an over-reaction. If you think the game blows, if you don't like the management, write them a letter (on real paper), cancel your account, warn others (somewhere not controled by the folks you are criticizing), and move on to something you do like.
Many people just like to tussle. I know, I'm one of them, but there are times to fight and times to play nice. When in the enemies home you have to play by their rules. You are all in SOE's house here, you argue at their sufferance whether you like it or not.

No one has called for a revolt.
That is a misnomer.
What has been called for is the Combat revamp docs to be brought forth. That has become a bannable offence.

you can disagree with the blue green ppl, just don't flame them...
don't disagree with the red names, if you do word it very carefully...

you can complaine just be civil, don't whine or demand answers...
don't post that someone got banned and why (they get deleted)
asking normal questions is cool, but insert the words combat balance and it'll get deleted...

Sure. From SOE's Community Policies:
1.4 Participation in antisocial, disruptive, or destructive acts. This includes but is not limited to, "flaming", "spamming", and "trolling". "Flaming" is defined as: Making insulting criticisms or remarks to incite anger. "Spamming" is defined as: Sending numerous and or unwanted and disruptive amounts of messages. "Trolling" is defined as: Stirring up trouble to incite disruption. An example of trolling would be posting to a thread without the intent to provide positive suggestions or comments and instead making negative and or disruptive comments.

Heh
I don't have it up in front of me at the moment, but I believe the policy just talks about taking "appropriate action", which may not mandate banning. I think GarVa has actually been pretty reasonable here with deleting/locking threads along with posting a stickied reminder post instead of just banning everyone that comes in contact with an inappropriate thread.

Do these rules include the Devs and the Correspondents?
If not then they are a sham.
