ok, first things first, there is no need to degrade yourself in front of us to get a question asked. we all know these boards are here to help people (even if other things also go on) and no one who has asked a question has been turned away by our learned community
. referring to yourself as 'stupid' and 'a noob' makes me feel like we're alienating new people, and im suremost other CH do not intend tomake new people degrad themselves either for the sake of having a question answered
.
ahem, anywho, they do not have to be visible, one of the main strategies is to wear a shirt underneath armor, that's where many skill attachments go and where most BE mods get placed. if its a good BE shirt, that +16 will be aiding your taming wild and vicious level, which does not raise CL but does allow you to tame things easier, and with some high level vicious pets the extra boost from BE clothing is necessary to pull them out.

well, you for one have just stumbled into the number 1 reason this forum often comes into....conflict....with moderators and devs. im afraid as it stands now CH will not be able to compete with any other combat proffesion until the CB, maybe a bit sooner with hope
. dont feel bad about your CH grind going awhile, it took me nearly 5 weeks to master as a new player too heh. i only started the proffesion because i mastered the 2 scout trees thinking 'hey, meat and speed, it speaks for itself!' then when it said "you now qualify for novice creature handler" i was all oooOOOooo how did i do that????? so CH does take awhile to master as a new person, but i wouldn't want it any other way. during that time, my bond with CH grew strong, and i for one was glad for the experience. anywho, you might of just had an unlucky day at taming, plus the higher the tame level on a petthe more often a pet will either a. not tame or b. attack you. when you want to catch a higher level pet, (such as a voritor, oh man that took a bit of work lemme tell ya) you should have a speederbike out and have /peace ready, simply ride away if it agros until it stops, then get off, use /maskscent immedietly, come up at it FROM BEHIND (they remember failed tamings and attack again if they detect you) and try it again. takes a good bit of work, several tame attempts could be required, but if the /tame option does anything, it means eventually you will, indeed, be able to tame it. and yes, sadly, trying pets against a jedi is bad. 1. mindtrick is an 'i win' button against a CH if your in a high-lag area, and 2. no mitigation for pets in pvp. ranged pets might work better though, try crystal snakes and pray for poison if you really want to do it.
