Creature Handler Archive

So, I am one block (Creature Empathy 4) away from Master. I go to Endor since that is where I have been getting most of my experience, figuring to spend 3 hours, do some missions make about 60-90K xp.

Well, on the way to one of the missions, I run across 2 forest gurrek lairs, a prowling gurrek spawn point,and a merek lair all within 250meters of each other. Much carnage did ensue with my faithful cowardly gurreks jumping into the fray as well. I'm glad PETA was not around to see all the animals get slaughtered.

Long story short: over 140K xp, two toxic merek avenger babies tamed and nearly 30K units ofawesomeendorian carnivore meat for the Wanderhome server all in just under 2 hours.

Don't know whatI did to deserve the good Kharma but I am glad I did it.

yeah, i had some great luck last night too. found a gsp lair straight away after arriving on talus. unfortunately, the only baby to spawn decided it would be good to do it while i was fighting 4 adults. didn't even see it coming, ended up killing it.

i ran around for another 3 hours before finding another lair, b8ut unfortunately no baby spawned from this one.

made my way back to coronet to get rebuffed, and on my return to talus, hours running round and not one lair.

BUT i did come across a static spawn point, with 2 gsp adults. now being fairly new to the game, i wasn't sure if there was any chanc of a baby being one of the spawns, but i thought it better to take a chance here than driving round aimlessly. success - only had to kill 3 sets of adults, and after i left and returned for the third time, a baby was there. tamed him first time, and thought i would chance my luck and go and come back again. another baby, another successful tame. overall i think it took me about 7 hours, comparedf to the 10 minutes it would have taken me had i not killed that first baby, i hope it's worth it.

Same kinda thing happened to me on Endor. I was out farming Gurreks as a novice ranger to get wooly hide for my architect to make couches. After about an hour of missions I stumbled onto a Storm Trooper patrol of about 14 Storm Troopers and 2 Officers. I also noticed within 250m of them was 2 gurrek lairs, a swirl prong lair, a mantigrue lair and a bole bol lair. Using the get the lair out of range so it respawns tactic.....Bole Bols were 25m away so never respawned.

Now for those that don't know this if NPC's help kill a mob as long as you have touched it at all you can still loot and harvest it. You don't get full combat/weapon exp, but as long as your pet touches it you do get full CH exp......

Anyway the short version is that

60 Gurreks, 20 Mantigrues, 20 swirl prongs, and 6 Bole Bol's > 14 Imperial Storm Troopers.

I left when the last Storm Trooper died. The take? A BIG stack of Wooly, a not sobig stack of Herbivore Meat and only spent about 45 minutes to get it. And about 1/2 of my next CH box taken care of.

hehe, me too, on my way to (re-)getting master creature handler, and getting my first line (management) done, I went to talus for three GSP's so I can use one now, and the others later... well, I land in a player city on Talus, and 2 minutes after exiting the city limits I find a natural spawn lair with two babies! I then tamed them all and got the extra after a tapping!
