i'm not a master yet but i will be shortly.. within a few says i would say.
the reason i have stayed with ch even though my combat profession has changed multiple times (started as a rifleman, went to pistoleer, then on to swordsman and finally TK) is playing with pets is the most fun thing i've done in this game.
with a pure combat template once you use up all your skill points there's nothing left to work for really. run missions for credits, to spend on... what exactly? a large house? an AV-21? oh, loot kit adheasive
with ch when you master the profession you're just getting started, not finishing. there's tons of creatures to tame, lots of rare's to collect, it may get aggrevating but when you finally tame that one pet you've been after for weeks (or even months) there's nothing else in the game that can compare to the feeling.
my favorite pets that i've tamed or bought from a BE
-prowling gurreck lvl45
probably one of the best pets in the game imo. very fast, great kinetic and energy resists and actually spawns babies often enough to believe it exists.
- BE razor cat lvl25
this cat has been with me for a long time. between the 60% kinetic resist and 8k ham this cat was responsible for me mastering rifleman without a single trip to the cloning facility (this was before i could afford armor and hunting armorwas still a couple months off).
-giant carrion spat lvl 12/18
huge bird that can outrun any other mount in the game (maybe not the kaadu, would be a close race for sure) and i look cool on it
-pair of greater sludge panthers (nibbles and bites)
no ch should be without at least one of these. quite possibly the best level 25tamed creature in the game, can actually hold it's own against considerably higher creatures and work great in pairs.
-savage humbaba
do i really need to say why this is my absolute favorite mount? it may be the slowest mount in the game but this baby isn't about speed.
out of the six i listed 3 are cats, they are my favorite pets (in game and irl) and i plan to get at least one of each... might not have space in my datapad though
my next adventure will be for the gurreck, it might take a few days of wandering around endor to get but it will be well worth it. after taming a gurreck i may try for a great plains stalker but that depends on how long it takes to get a gurreck.
CH is the only profession i never thought about giving up. i'll drop other professions withouta second thought but regardless of nerfs, bugs and impossible to find rare's i'll be a CH for as long as i play SWG.
P.S. i have no desire to get a rancor.... which means i'll probably tame a bull my first time on dathomir after mastering ch lol

My 2nd char has been a master ch for ages now and the only reason she is still a ch is cause i never use her. If i did i would drop the prof. It was cool when swg first came out but it suks and is no real help at all.

I like to have the ability to play the game as it was. no buffs or armor, you, your weapon and your wits. Not to say that I don't use buffs, drink and armor, I do, mainly for contracts, as it saves time. But with my pets I do not have to. I cannot think of a single profession that allows me the freedom to play as I choose better than ch.
..With ch, I am not a single player, I'm a team member. There is little that can compare with the experences of being in a close knit team. It's natural, CH, master rifle and the rest in tka, this is the combo that works for me.
.. My pets, these days are all be. The core of these are pets are from the old days, a few from before I made master, before the nerf. They mean as much to me as any rare that has been found. Magoo, a bearded jax, is my body guard. All are veterians, only one has had to pay the ultimate price, Fable has a 99% vit. but saved my life while getting this rating. Most are at or over the 1 year mark being on the team.
.. magoo bearded jax
.. glimmer, rancor.
.. fable, gurreck
.. fufu, the wabbit
.. manis, kliknik
..Frankie and johnny, spiders
.. betty, bonnie and clyde , bols
.. snoodles , bantha
.. sonny, brackaset
are some of my olders

I wanted to be an MCH from the day i heard theird be a CH class in this game. I love this proffesion and i love my pets, even with their nerfs they've had to endur.
I keep CH cause i enjoy soloing and i dont use buffs or armor, used armor for one week total and got rid of it. CH gives the freedom of not needing it (even if my combat class really isnt all that and i should use some - carbineer).
The main pets i use are:
Gurreck - Kraut
Toxic Merrick Battle Lord(s) - War and Lord
Greater SLudge Panther(s) - Shaka and Zulu - Shaka is my oldest pet that i have of current
Grand Wrix(s) - Hitokiri and Battosai
*all pets are tamed in the wild,i dont use BE pets*
got them all before the nerf, i couldnt imagine going through the game without them, their my only company i have since all my friends have left the game.

I remain MCH because pets are dang fun! So much can be done with them, many options for fighting depending on the team and opponents.
The best part of being MCH playing with my Screecher and using BE pets I made myself.
Favorite combat pet versus NPCs is (Junior), a level 70 langlatch. He is not very big or very fast, but quite tough. Got a kimo growing to fight kimos, and a few other cats I like a lot.
My only rare pet is a Screecher. I had to have one of those, I remember my first visit on Endor not long after the game was out, we got hit by plague. And they were tough cookies at that time, ar3 with resist.

Rather than elaborate on all of the already evident needs and criticisms over creature handling, how it's being handled, and the innumerable amount of posts aboutdropping creature handler, I wanted to find out why you, personally, the master creature handler, decide to keep master. What's the best part about it, and lastly, what are your favorite companions to be with casually and the beasts you utilize to fight alongside of? I apologize in advance if this has been posted before... but I haven't seen an identical post on the boards myself. What's the rarest or coolest pet you ever had/have?
I remain because (in no particular order)...
- To be part of a profession that isn't taken by everyone "and their grandma." (FOTM)
- So I don't have to delete my '(Muffins)'! (My favorite pet).
- the boredom of grinding another profession without pets would be like fightining without my hands... I'm too used to them.
- the swamp tusk cat, the bull rancor, and the greater plains stalkerare waiting for me to be their friend!
- the promise of a tomorrow in which we shall see another glourious sunrise again.
- I can make the newbies in Mos Eisley think I'm God (or a circus ringmaster).
- I never have to fight alone.
The best part about creature handler (best = only one)...
- is that one pet that you always had since day one, and always love and cherish... and get to have him alongside your trophies as an equal...
My favorite casual companions (non-combat)
- (Muffins) - the coolest peton Bloodfin... hes a big mountain dewback with a heart as big as his growl and mouth
- (Wings) - my hard-working retired novice CHpeko peko, that got mehalf way through creature handler. My first companion.
- (Kitty) - my mammoth bearded jax... she's so cute when she cuddles up next to me when I'm meditating alongside of her.
My favorite working beasts of burden (combat)
- (Jergens) - regular wild rancor - c'mon, every master needs a RANCOR!
- (Diocletian) - blood stained merek - great for killing monsters and scaring newbies!
- (Destructor), (Salvador), (Tercera) - My three greater sludge panthers. Names are: Destroyer, Savior, and Third in English.
Rarest/coolest pet you ever had / still have.
- (George) - Giant Peko Peko - MASSIVE! I always get a tell about him when I show him off in a populated city.

What's the rarest or coolest pet you ever had/have?
Louie, my Kaddu and the first pet I ever tamed. It will be a cold day in Heck before this one is deleted.
Donner and Blitzen, my matched pair of male and female Narglatch that were some of the first pets I tamed. At least one of these will be out with me from the moment I log on until I log off.
Cupid, my cute little pouncing jax useful for impressing the ladies
Bob, a rancor (baby)
And not a bio-engineered rancor. This is one of the "real" ones.
Leroy, my Dune Bantha that I collected in a safari trip across Tatooine. I walked from Mos Eisley to the Krayt graveyard and back.
Tiny, my pet Fambaa that always made people mad before that added the option to disable the "screen shake".
Zeus, a Greater Sludge Panther that is usually out when one of my Narglatch needs a rest.
Other unnamed pets include a gaping spider hunter, a Brackaset male (my usual mount), a Bull Ronto (also found on my Tatooine safari), a Dewback (also from the safari) and three BE pets given to me by guild members for specific uses (namely NS hunting and the DWB ... special resists to handle these areas).
I remain because (in no particular order)...
I spend alot of time solo despite being in a large, active guild. Most everyone else in the guild is the double-stacked master brawler with meditation line of Teras Kasi and some novice medic stuff. I'm a Master Pistoleer/Master Creature Handler (the only teo professions I've mastered as well) with some artisan thrown in. I'm also the only creature handler in the guild.
I solo Fambaa lair missions on Naboo with ease using just me and my newbie artisan stats (forgot to stat migrate when I made the character) and my Narglatch pair. No buffs and no armor (can't wear any without buffs). I even won 10k off a guild member who said it was impossible. I've also solo'd rancor lairs but it did get exciting at times
I really need more than 600 health
Walking through Mos Eisley with one of my cat-like pets out usually gets me alot of attention from new players.
I like being able to group with a pet and get the extra xp
And I like being something other people consider a "support" profession. Support profession, you say? Hardly. Find me someone else that can go without buffs or armor and still be able to handle nearly any situation. And if I'm a "support" profession, why am I among the first people my guild members want with them when they go to the Death Watch Bunker or venture off to hunt Night Sister Elders?
And finally, because Master Creature Handler isn't something I see over the heads of many people. It's unique. It's not something people usually dabble in. Either you're a creature handler master in training, or you're a master creature handler. Everything else is just a wannabe.

I remain because (in no particular order)...
- Pets are alot of fun. I'm a roleplayer too so my pets almost acquire a personality of their own in how they react to different situations we are in
- I enjoy bringing out pets and the excitement it causes around new players (and sometimes veterans as well when I bring out my kimogila)
- I seek to find a new home for a bull rancor, arachne widow and a greater plains stalker
- I am never in game by myself, even if my friends aren't online yet my little critter buddies are always there for me

My favorite casual companions (non-combat)
(Tonto) - my very first pet.. just a regular cu pa but he has a big heart and lots of fun memories as we both struggled in the beginning days
(Lizzie) - my mountain dewback.. the name of the pet alone cracked me up and I just had to have one.. she is truly a loyal companion that I was so happy to have the opportunity to train as a mount because it allowed me to revive our bond and bring her out of my datapad again like the olden days
(Buttons) - a wasteland cu pa.. I remember when I tamed this pet that I accidentally hit the /attack hotkey by mistake and punched him the face.. boy did that make him (and his family) angry with me, lol.. thank goodness for /peace and /burstrun.. I enjoy our renewed bond as he serves as the largest CH cu pa mount in game

(Athena) - my first upper level BE pet, a level 62 kima, I like her because she is far more deadly than she will ever look.. she has that cute evil "meow" after she kills something and then she licks her paws, lol
(BamBam) - my deadly level 66 BE bantha mount that also does an awesome headstand trick, makes me smile every time.. while out riding and exploring various worlds, I can hop off my mount who also serves a dual purpose as my protector

i remain because:
as others have said before me, i like the fact i can solo ER's unbuffed and unarmored.
without my cats, i feel naked. whenever i make a new char on the TC's or beta's, i can't stand not having any pets surrounding me.
i like being able to hunt whenever i want.i don't mind waiting on people, but sometimes i just don't want to wait on anyone and wanna go when i want
the best part of being CH:
knowing that newbies and vets alike respect me when they see some really bad-ass creatures out and they find out it's mine
my fave casual companions:
izzy(my kimogila)
silver(my bantha)
toonces(my first pet ever, and also my friends first pet who is no longer on
...)
my favorite beasts of burden:
Arden(lvl29) she's a BE'd cat, and my first uber pet ever
Alex(lvl 31) also BE'd, she's my toughest cat in my team
Axel(lvl10) she's BE'd as well, but even though she is lvl 10, she can hold her own in a fight with some ER's
rarest, coolest pet i ever had:
izzy my kimo
i just can't be without my "A" team
plus they're good for starting soem interesting convo's with new people and usually how i make new friends in game as well. and me and another person in the guild have undoubtedly turned our guild into a CH guild...just about everyone has a pet or two in their datapad they use frequently
