Thread: GPS ARE THEY REALLY RARE???

well i went out looking for some GPS...first time ever looking well i find an adult so i kill it wait again and kill another 2 adults then the baby pops up. Now im so happy after 2 tames it attacks me im like ohh man so i run into the water and get away then it stops attacking me so then i go up to it again and tame it once mroe and i get it.. well just wanted to know if there as rare as there said to be

Let's just say you got really, really lucky and you should be really, really quiet about it, because I know a lot of CHs that would want to strangle you rightabout now

Seriously, good job.
The GPS is a very rare creature to find, which is why it is such a trophy to have for CHs. I've had people increasingly sight them on the Corellian plains. Hopefully their spawn has increased somewhat. Not that I'm at the level to tame one yet, anyway

alot of ch's have been looking for one of these for months, finding one your first time out is amazing.... want to make a character on corbantis? i could use a lucky companion

I also tamed a GPS the 1st time i went looking....I tamed another about 2 months later. In the time between I prolly only found 3 or 4 spawns. So, YES they are indeed rare, maybe not as rare as a Bull rancor baby, but at least a close 2nd.

I have a rarely used character on Chilistra. While out hunting to get Rifles IV I came upon a Great Plains Stalker (GPS). First I've seen in the game, never seen one on Farstar at all. It saw us and started a pursuit. We ran...............! We found a house that was unlocked and got inside. The GPS ran off and we made our escape around the back.
Wow, our first GPS and what a sight it was.
About 20 minutes later we ran into another, near Tyrena! Two in 20 minutes! Again we ran and got into a safe house. This time it waited outside and we were stuck until it left. It eventually wandered off and we nipped out around the back of the house to safety.
Aday later back on Chilistra, we were out hunting again, this time buffed. We came upon yet another GPS! This time we decided to take it on. We took aim and fired. It came slowly across the river and slowly towards me. Stalking me I guess. I stood my ground as my companion peppered it with high powered rifle shots. It then charged him.
He ran off into a house and the GPS's health reverted back to full! Damned annoying. We decided to give it another go and went after it. It turned and went after my friend. He stood his ground in 80% Composite armour and eventually we killed it!

We were about to make off but I suggested we wait around, another will spawn. With such good XP from it it was worth the wait! We hung around the same area and sure enough another spawned! We did the same tactics and eventually killed it, gaining 3000 rifles XP and 800 scouting XP. As we were getting ready to leave I thought 'I'll just check to see if there's another........................A BABY! Damn and I'm not a CH on Chilistra! I didn't kill it, I left it alone and headed back to Tyrena. I hope someone tamed the little guy

The great plains stalker is indeed one of the rarest of pets. It took me 3 months to find my first GPS and have found 2 more since then and use a set of wps that I have included in my field guide.
