Just curious. Got a report of at least one pet that is doing specials, the Bloodseeker Mite Queen. Anyone who has one of these, does it use any specials in combat?
Or do you have another pet that executes specials or attacks from ranged? I'm aware most people aren't having any luck (it's still in the top 5 list) but I'm curious if only *most* pets are bugged.
Thanks!

My Rhoa Kwi Pack Leader will use Ranged attack until the target gets within melee range and he switches to melee then.
He will NOT use specials on command however, he'll only do so in certain situations and it has to be his decision to do so. Still bugged if you ask me.

I have a Kwi Guardian who has and uses ranged attacks. Specifically he:
Will NOT execute a ranged attack on command.
WILL execute ranged attacks at random when I order him to generically "attack" a target.
So he has his ranged attack and uses it at random, not on command. No pet with any non-ranged specials (i.e. special 1 and 2) uses them at all, on command or at random, as far as I can tell.

ranged attack works just fine as long as
A.) The pet using ranged attack isn't getting attacked by something in melee range
or
B.) The target that is hitting the pet is also using ranged (either an NPC with a gun or another ranged creature)
thats how it's always worked. If you really want something to use range, give it the Ranged Attack command, and don't let anything attack it melee.
As far as specials, none of them work from what I've seen, though I don't have a bloodseeker mite queen. Though, when I did the Varactyl quest, the boss mob was doing some kind of stun/dizzy/blind combo attack, so there are a few that work I guess.

none of my wild pets nor BE pets that are supposed to have specials ever do them......im kind of confused about the pet specials now. Were they removed ? Because i have no option to train any of my pets commands for executing specials except ranged attack and no the ranged attack doesnt work on command either.

There are no pet specials any longer. As Master Ch for years now, I have noted none of the pets can be trained in specials nor do they perform specials.

I made a thread about a week ago (its probably buried under all these d@mn respec noob questions) reporting that my bull rancor will use an area attack. The thread is called "Proof pets do use specials"however it only does it randomly.

Best I can manage to produce is the exclamation point that pops up over the heads of the pets I'd taught special-attack commands to prior to the CU. Best I can tell, that's all that happens. No state changes; no changes in the damage on their attack; nothing. Just the orphan exclamation point acknowledging that they'd received their command. It's like stumbling across a snapshot of a dead friend.

It hasn't been specified yet so I figured I'd verify it:
The ranged commandfor on/off toggle works. The pet does use ranged when the ranged command toggles it to on. Ranged functions like it should. It's the special attacks that don't quite work yet.

Mine does the same. Used him exclusively while exploring those caves (myyr...) on the wookie planet.
