Thread: Pet abilities?

Creature Handlers are the ultimate in combat versatility. While they have no innate combat capabilities of their own they are able to fulfill almost any needed role as long as they have a pet with the necessary abilities.
Came across this while reading the combat upgrade docs looking for the list of weak crowd control professions.
For the life of me these abilities is what caught my eye. The only thing abilities made me think was that this is in reference to specials. I got to thinking surely 2 moves on a creature pet cannot really determine a roll in a profession. I mean a strong poison and a bleeding attack are hardly defineing they are just a couple damage attacks, and applying 2 simple states really dosent define a roll that well either.
So after some thought a very interesting question popped in my head will creature specials be changed in a dramatic way over what they used to be. Will pets in effect actually get tactical special moves. Instead of stuff like bleeds intimidation and knockdowns. Which just about every profession has.
Could we be getting specials back like roots, critical hits, or even specials that might be indicitive of creature pets like crush bash trample. To my mind those would be roll fulfilling abilities. Useing a pet with a root over a pet with critical hit would be an example. One is damage dealing the other is tanking.
Anyone else kind of wonder whether we are getting something new rather then a rehash of the old. Interesting thought actually haveing pets that do define a roll.

I hope its true...but at the moment I would settle for what we had.......no in fact i would settle for anything than what we have now.........which is no specials.
Lol...you actually got me excited with your secret ...i thought it might be something like what you are describing......alas that was not the case......I'm willing to be positive(P9m) and wait it out......Besides...I have recently started to name my pets...thats new to me.....before I always used keep the (baby) tag......I was a naturalist at heart...none of those nasty BE'd freaky pets.....
p.s I hope they bring back plauge strike...with so few Docs about it would be a devastating attack.
