Hi, I'm still quite new to the CH proffession, currently 1,1,1,1 CL 20

just wondering what would be a good fighting pet for me to use, I'm also a pistoleer, so I don't really need a high damage output animal, just something nice that can hold up for a half decent fight.

So, any ideas?

Currently I have:

lvl 19 Gurrcat - BE

lvl 15 Jax - BE

lvl 16 peko peko - baby

lvl 15 hurton X2 BE both

i found the easiest way to level CH was to get to level 25, and go to Yavin and tame a crystal snake. this is still one of my favorite pets... they stay out of the way of groups cause they are small and kinda hard to see, and they have decent specials...

Depends on what you are going to hunt to level. Get a BE pet with high kinetic resists and light armor if you can find it around CL 20. If you do high end missions to get xp, rancors, voritors, and so on... you will find that level 19 seems to be the sweet spot for xp. I prefer the cats because they seem to stay put when you send them in. If you are killing lower level creatures a lower level BE without the armor gives more xp.

Get something with Dizzy, it complements your meleedefense1 very well, don't foreget to kick em' when they are down. (They take more dmg.)

I moved to Corellia I have no vendor and I don't know the coords to my house, but it doesn't really matter cause all my pets are in the tool box, I may have some in space, but that doesn't really concern you either.

You'll like the gurrcat, because it will keep up with your speeder. The lower the level pet the more xp. State effects (dizzy, blind, etc...)and kanetic restanceare good bonuses.

A pet with intimidate is often overlooked. This is one of the best specials out there since it cuts damage in half. For natural pets I like kliknik defenders and scouts (CL 27) due to intimidate and 40% kinetic resistances.

Not overlooked by me my friend, I have not a combat skill to my name, but am MCH and hunt with 2 homeades one has blind and Intimidate, the other double stun. I am able to take down anything <80 CL, haven't tried anything bigger.
