Thread: More XP per enranged rancor than 1000 per kill?

Hi, I have heard of people getting a lot more XP per kill than the 1000 I am currently recieving per enraged rancor kill. I use by lvl 10 BE pet and I am CH 1113. Should I be using a larger pet? All the things I have read have said that the lower the per the more xp?

I'm CH 2222 and used a lvl 22 Bol against enraged, and the most i got was 1023 i think. certainly 1000 was the average xp per kill. Most ive ever got was 2000 from a ns elder so i doubt you can get more than what you have from enraged.

Use a level 14 pet, doesnt matter if BE or not. You will get about 1400 each, and in a good group the ER's drop like flies.

I wanted to add that I tried this about a month or so ago, before I decided to grind out a few professions (and an now comming back to CH,) and I noticed that a level 14 pet is the best for Enraged Rancors. With a level 13 pet you will get a few hundred less, and a level 15 a few hundred less. I guess there is a "sweet spot" for mob lvl vs. pet lvl. If anyone out there is good with figuring out ratios and that kind of thing this might be an interesting task for ya.

I use a lvl 17 pet and got 1400xp and 1600xp of enraged and enraged Bulls.

Forgot to say. I just upped my ch skill to 0114 and plan to use a lvl 11 pet that got me 1000xp of enraged along with the lvl 17 pet. That gives me 1000+1400= 2400 pr pop.

doesn't that give you either 1K or 1200 xp per kill? I thought they took out the two pets give you double xp thing back during rebalance.

I use one of my two lvl 25 Grand Wrix's and get 1300 per ER. These are not Bio Pets, tamed em' myself.... Great tanks.

Way back when I was leveling 2000k was the cap. I believe it still is.

2k is the cap.

last night I was getting over 1400 with my lvl 11 cu pa. He's a mount so I'd ride him from lair to lair. I was getting 1200 with my lvl 30 razor cat, and 1100 with my lvl 35 graul.

Not sure if this is right...Just last week my guild was hunting enraged rancors...with my BE lvl 10 Bantha, I was getting 1040 XP for each rancor...with my lvl 14 Perleck, I was only getting 925 XP
