Thread: I know that creatures are a little off right now, but this doesn't make too much sense...

Perhaps this has been talked about. If so, I apologize. Please don't rip my head off...

So, as we all know, a lot of the pets have been changed with the CU. All but 1 of my pets are wild tames. And when I logged on yesterday to check out the CU, some of my favorite pets were raised in level so that I can't use them. And some of them were lowered in level. Kinda sucks. But a minor issue.

As we all know, there is not a very large difference between pet stats at higher levels. Really sucks. Big issue (takes away from pet variety and uniqueness).

Now, last night I'm out with a group on Naboo hunting Gungans. Because, I guess the force was strong with me last night... I grouped up with some level 80's and I magically became level 80 also. Me thinks me likes this "force" (/endsarcasm). While I'm out, I see something I never saw before. "narglatch (baby)" I always wanted a narglatch, but never saw a baby, and eventually came to the conclusion there were no babies. So I tamed it. I'm happy. Then I see something else I never saw before "narglatch female (baby)". So I tame that too. And it's better. By 1 level than the regular narglatch. The narglatch is 21, the female is 22. I check the stats.

Sorry, I didn't write down the exact stats. So I can only give estamites, not the real thing:

narglatch (baby) - CL 21

Health - 3005 (I think it's 5...)

narglatch female (baby) - CL 22

Health - 4000+

^ This 4000+ Health is higher than some of my pets that were raised to level 38 (my huurton howler, and my piket plains walker, both 38, I don't think they even break 4000 Health, but maybe they do. Either way, the narglatch female is higher). The attack also nears 300 damage (tops at 296 I believe). That ties the highest damage rating of any of my other pets. And with no resistances showing up when we examine our pets, one can only assume the worst that there are no resistances.

So, a level 22 pet is better in every way than even my highest level 38 pets. Every stat it has is higher than or tied to the highest stats on my other pets. I guess I shouldn't complain. After all, I like the narglatch. I'm glad it's finally tameable. Now not only will it be my favorite creature, but my most effective too. AND I can still use another pet with it. But that doesn't change the fact that it makes no sense at all, and just shows how screwed up the animals are right now. Either that, or this is proof that our resistances are still there, and my piket plains walker, who had 40% kinetic before the CU, might still have it's resistances high enough to make it that much stronger than everything else (level wise). But if that's the case, why is my kliknik defender, also a former 40%'er, down to level 23?

Bah! I really hate what they did to our profession in the CU. I mean, I know we were borked. But at least our pets had variety and uniqueness. That was one of the biggest attractions to me. Now the pets are nothing more than what skin you wanna use. *sigh*

They clearly FuBar'ed the pet conversions. Some of my pets that I adjusted stats to level with are more powerful than pets I adjusted level up to match stats with. So now I have a level 39 converted to 58, weaker than my level 28 and level 30 whos stats were LOWERED to match their level. Oh yes it makes sense that something 20 levels weaker should be more powerful.

And I have a friend whose level 10 NON-CH pet can do things my level 66 wild tame boar wolf (converted from 25) could only dream about.

Way to make "level" a totally meaningless indicator of pet strength. And since for wild tames we can't see the resistances (if any, which I agree there probably aren't), the only way now to know if your pets are better than each other is to have some sort of trial-and-error test.

Oh yes, they FuBar'ed this one bigtime. One can only imagine how many weeks/months/years it will take them to fix it.
