I have been trying out the CU for last 2 day and came to conclusion that a MCH is a completely

waste of skill points. Rancors, Graul Maulers, Mountain Squills and other got me to Colonel

as a Pistoleer, not even a master pistoleer. They were great tanks and did a great deal of damage.

My Rancors not do a consisent 154 points of damage with no special attacks and around 5000 HAM,

instead of the 500 points damage, with intimidate and stun and 11000 HAM. All my other pets

have been nerfed to nothing as well. There is no point in even bringing them out as pick-ts and bols

just dominate my rancor and that is with me firing a pistol as well. You get great experience now for

kill, they just take a good while to get one. I have been incapped and killed more in last 3 days than in last

3 months.

SOE has done a lot to the game, but the CU is no more than an ALPHA release. It will take 3-6 months

of playing and programming to balance this mess out. You get no experience unless you are fighting

something just below your Combat level. I have yet to kill anything yellow solo, don't think it will be

possible for my toon. Even when group with another toon MBH, could only kill a yellow withboth toons

taking huge damage. Both toon were level 74 and we were fighting a level 76. When we fought 2

level 76s, both got incapped fairly easily.

I like to play the game for fun, don't need to be the biggest and baddest player. That proves nothing.

But right now, I am more frustrated than at anytime playing the game since I start in August 2003.

Does anyone know when and if creature handling will be address or should we shift our template now.

I have been an MCH since October 03 and really hate to give it up.

Try BE, From what I understand, almost none of the things they craft give the benefits their supposed to, and pet crafting has gone the way of the unique tamable creatures.

It also seems that under certain circumstances, some pets will escape the nerf. Grab a pet with no armor and try it out, you might find one....one person says that CL 30-35ish pets with mediumish stats and around 10K HAM got the job done when he respecced by level, only went up to CL 65, definently stronger than any wild CL 70ish pet we can tame.

Actually theyre very usefull, the regen rates on the pets are incredible, and my level 70 guf drolg can tank a level 82 mob long enough for me to kill it, I'm a MBE MCH and have combat level 57, so solo-ing a level 82 mob is quite incredible. Also the level 70 guf drolg has average stats (like theyre found int he wild) because it was respecced. I already made a 670 dmg level 56 pet with 10k or so HAM, which will be more usefull. I'm trying to get one close to level 70 with about the same stats, as i think that CL is a major factor in the dmg they take from mobs.

To be honest, when I go out hunting I just use my skills as 4444 rifleman. I'm now able to easily take down giant canyon krayts. I just use my CH skills to tame cool pets I can chase people around Coronet with, and I'm happy with that.

I'm sure after they stop the respec madness, they will return the specials to our pets.
