here is something interesting i found on the BE forums:

basically he converted a lvl55 pet with armor, into a lvl55 pet without armor and it showed up as having resists. Could this accually mean that pets DO have resists its just that numbers are not showing up for wild ones?

Yes, they do have resists, if you look in the combat log you'll see that wild pets will resist some damage. It's very annoying that we can't see exactly how good they are without huge amounts of experimentationand testing onalmost every single pet in the game....bah.
