I know I posted this before, but it has somehow evaporated.


Why is it that Master Doctors get +50 Ranged Defense and +50 Melee Defense from their skill tee and Master Creature Handler gets nothing? And don't say it is because of our pets as we all know how effective they are in combat, especially when they are incapped.

It's because of our pets!

That is the best justification we have. Unfortunately, the devs have a real hard time balancing us -- we're either too good or too poor with how pets stack with weapons. (They will always err on the side of too poor.) Until they decide to restrict us to effectively using one or the other, or come up with a brilliant plan that incorperates both, it's going to continue that way.

I see useing pets in combat with a ranged weapon is no different than a ranged weapon being coupled with Bounty Hunters abealities. Seriously, did the DEV's neglect to look that over?

Well, if they are going to say that it is because of our pets, then they need to fix all the other combat professions so that halfway thru combat they loose all their defence mods.
