Just curious about the following:

Can a doc/cm heal pets (I heard you don't have to have pet stims now, is this true?)

Do pets that are grouped with you have effectively have your CL for purposes of fighting things (like grouping a lowbie toon with a CL 80, all in group are considered CL 80 for damage dealing / receiving. Is this true with pets as well?)

Do doc buffs work on pets?

Mulling over template ideas, and this info would help greatly. Thanks much!

Hiya there!

The main reason I took up MCM is because I can heal my pets during battle The only down side is it will cause you to get aggro'd but I consider it worth it and a teeny price to pay for being able to heal them!

They can heal pets, but only the owner can get them out of incapacitation with incap recovery, and then only if the owner isn't in combat. Pet stims are pretty hard to make in the high quality range due to fish and mollusk meat requirements, so CM or Doc healing might be more effective than pet stims.

I'm not sure a Doc/CM can see the pets health unless their grouped. I'm not sure my CL ever raised my pets CL, I'm only CL60, but my CL67 raises my grouped CL to 67. However, this does not effect mission quest because the Group CL is dependent on the player with the highest CL in the group (which is odd since my pets CL effects mygroup-combat levelin a group if their higher than me). I had my pet in a grinding group with a Combat Medic and he buffed my pet. I was told that, weather or not the pet is hungry, you candrag food onto the pet and it will give it food buffs.

buffs work nice on pets.
i m no doc with my mch - but i use non-ch pets with my doc templates and i usualy buff them with health and combat speed buffs (combat speed might be obsolete as they are BE pets attacking with double speed already).

the buffs stick and work just like the buffs on players (same duration and amount +10% health) - they vanish when the pet is stored and recalled.

healing (damage and wounds) works too.

Yeah, that raises another issue I was wondering about..

If you adrenal boost a BE pet - will it have an effect? Or will it be nullified by the natural BE pet attack rate increase? Anyone know either way for certain?

Thanks for the info so far everyone, it's well appreciated.

Reeeeeally? That could prove interesting with a good combo of chef foods.

And are you sure it was a CM that buffed your pets? I have a MCM and all they do is heal and debuff. Maybe it was a doc?

But if doc buffs work on 'em, it may heavily influence my template choice.
