Hi CH's,
I had two pets in my datapad. I did the Kash quest for the Bolotaur, and received it when I transfered the pet to my datapad, which gave me a total of three pets in my datapad. I then asked a CH to train the Bolotaur, which she did, but then we found that I could not take the pet back again. It gave me a message about too many pets in my datapad. Yet just a few minutes before the training I was able to call any of my pets including the new mount.
I swopped my bantha with the CH and then was able to receive the Bolotaur!
My question is how many pets are a non CH allowed in the datapad? Before you answer though I have an alt who is a non CH. He has a razor cat, a Brackaset, Varactyl and a Bolotaur! (The last three are mounts and were trained in the same way as Sors'a Bolotaur.
Thanks for your time.

Hmm, it could perhaps be a bug where the creature is automatically put into your datapad, regardless of how many pets you already have. When you tried to get the pet back, the system didn't care that you'd already had the pet, it only cared that you had 2 pets and you were trying to get a third. (Btw, the answer to your question is, a non-CH can only hold 2 pets, I have no clue how your other toon has 4). I hope this is right, it is the only thing I can think of.

The quest animals doesn't consider room in your datapad, so even if you had 2 mounts to begin with, get the 3 from RotW you would still be able to store all but problems as you experienced will occur.
Edit: Hmm, yes, what Jamila said.

Non CHs can indeed only have 2 pets.
However.... The "special pets" (Bolotaur Quest Reward, Varactyl DD Gift and the Kashyyyk Bantha Quest Reward) are not counted towards your pet count UNLESS you trade them to another user (e.g. a CH to train) and try to get them back.
Not sure if this is a bug or as intended, but if a special pet is traded, it then becomes like all other pets, in respect that it then counts towards your total.
Hope this helps.
