Ok so I was just standing around ghost town and a fellow CH comes up to me as we have seen each othere around before and started pulling out pets. He asked if I wanted to buy one of his BE kimo, but I told him my datapad is a little full and I should be learning skills and getting rid of them. So he asked if I had any for sale? I said most of mine have already been started so he can't level them, unless I read that wrong in the new skills guide. Then I remembered I had one I hadn't touched yet, my ancient rep flier with L3 aggression. So I pull it out and he says ohhh how much for that one, I hymmmed and hawwwed said seeing how it is CL68 and L3 aggro it could be a good base for a tank....so I said 800k. Well he didn't miss a beat in telling me that that was way too much and no pet is 800k, maybe 150k, and who made it and things like that. I said it is a wild WITH L3 AGGRESSION unlearned. I also added that I don't really want to part with it anyway so that is why I am asking 800k. So question is what would you ask for some of these wild high CL with natural abilities? I saw one price list on my sever that charged 2500credits a level (I think) plus and added amount for the planet the creature is on. eg. 5000/level for Dathomir. So what are any of your thoughts?

For a pristine pet that he could learn L3 aggression from? Heck yea - 800k is a fair price. Especially considering how difficult tames can be over CL50 these days.

if i am correct with the new system the only person that can learn the innate ability is the person who tamed the pet. This was done to prevent people from tradeing and price gougeing.

My understanding was that if the creature gains XP then this is true, but if the creature is tamed and never used, then it is possible for the new owner to gain the ability.

Hmmm, I may have got it wrong though some maybe some clarification on this would be good and btw I think 800k was a very fair price!!

800k or higher would have been my price. But price vs benefit is in the eye of the beholder. If the other CH didn't know how rare the pet is or difficult to get then 800k would seem high.

elrac is correct. i gave a kreetle with thick skin to a newbie CH friend, i'd never used it, and she did in fact learn the ability from that pet, which she didn't tame. it's just that you can't have used the pet to get any training exp before you trade it, even 1 point.

To answer your question about how much I would have charged...
If it was a skill that I needed (particularly a level 3 skill that is VERY effective like aggression) I would have asked at least a couple million.

Finding another pet to replace that one could take many hours if not many days. I would want something to compensate for my time.

Anakin: Master, I think my lightsaber is getting dull. Its not doing nearly as much damage as it used to.
Obi-Wan: O.k. when we're done showing the youglings around the temple, we'll stop by the bazaar and you can buy a new crystal. I hope you've got a couple million credits saved up for this.
Anakin: WHAT?!!?? I don't have THAT kind of cash!
Obi-Wan: Well you could try sharpening it on these younglings. I've got a headache and all their questions are driving me NUTS!
Anakin: hmmm.... Sharpen my lightsaber on younglings...... hmmmmmm.....
Obi-Wan: uh, that was a joke Anakin. I'll spot you the cash for a new crystal THIS time, but next time you're on your own.
