Wow! This comment is coming from the person who made the rudest remarks I've ever seen on these boards to veteran MCHs who were leaving the profession because of this exact same thing.

Thats a lot of nerve you've got there.

Anakin: Master, I think my lightsaber is getting dull. Its not doing nearly as much damage as it used to.
Obi-Wan: O.k. when we're done showing the youglings around the temple, we'll stop by the bazaar and you can buy a new crystal. I hope you've got a couple million credits saved up for this.
Anakin: WHAT?!!?? I don't have THAT kind of cash!
Obi-Wan: Well you could try sharpening it on these younglings. I've got a headache and all their questions are driving me NUTS!
Anakin: hmmm.... Sharpen my lightsaber on younglings...... hmmmmmm.....
Obi-Wan: uh, that was a joke Anakin. I'll spot you the cash for a new crystal THIS time, but next time you're on your own.

Well, live and learn I suppose. There's probably more than one person who is finally understanding just what it reallytakes to level up a high level pet. Or even just a mid-level pet for that matter.

I do love that I can customize my pets - it's a lot of fun. My desire to play has been revitalized. However, I'll say again - and what most everyone else has been saying -but maybe the devs will eventuallyhear - the xp requirements are absurd.

I have a level 60 something pet - forget exactly, it's a slinking voritor. It takes over 300k xp just to get it to roll over once -which I've done. But that doesn't give it enoughtraining pointsto open up an ability slot so that I canteach it anything. So, I have to earn another 300k plus xp just so that I can teach it one ability. I don't even want the &%*# pet. I just want to learn the L2 bleed ability, and who knows how many xp I'll have to earn before that happens. I might have to roll the freaking thing over 3 or more times. If I'm not lucky, it's not at all implausibe that I'll have to earn over a million xp for that pet.

No doubt there are some who will still think that I'm whining. *shrug* Ok, I'm whining. And I'll keep whining until the devs realize that they made a mistake and adjust the xp requirements.

Just wanted to toss in my personal opinion. I honestly think it'd be best if it went back to the way it used to be and the pets grew over time instead of having to be leveled with xp. That's more realistic I think. We grow up and get taller/bigger/etc. as we get older, not because we went around killing things (ok, strange analogy.) Anyway, it'd solve the prob of BE CL10 pets that Non-CHs buy that no longer are big enough, and CHs wouldn't get saddled (pun intended) with the responsibility of having to level a pet for a Non-CH to get them to grow to mount size.

*shrug* just think it's more realistic the way it was, where pets grew into mature size as they matured over time, not via xp.

I also agree. I do like the new chance to learn special abilities to teach my critters. But never in Real Life have I had to run around my neighborhood getting my puppy to fight all the neighbors pets to get him to grow. A little Purina in his bowl and time usually did the trick just fine.

finaly some more people that share my view!

A simple solution to the non-ch mount thing, the lvl 10 versions of kaadu, fambaset ect are simple too rare. Been trecting around naboo for days looking and haven't found a single one.

sorry, was alittle off topic ^_^;;

yes make pets grow over time pleassssse!!

let abbilites ect stay with the level of the pet, but for all that's holy let them grow with time.

EDIT:

Now that we'r at it, can we get rid of vitality too? Think we have it hard enough with mission lairs not spawning babies, having to level our pet. And then just seeing it go poof in a hail of blaster fire, as it's vitality drops to uselessness.

It'd be nice just to let the pets grow like they used to. That's not so much to ask, I think.

There is one benefit to the new system. You can effectivly stunt a non ch's pet's growth. I do this all the time with dwarf banthas and lesser plains bols. I get them to the point of where they can be mounted then stop it there, that way people have tiny mounts. Try it, your friends will love them, especially if you fleet 2 the pet.

Actually, I have NOTHING against leveling a pet this way. However, growth is the problem I'd like to address. Though it is true that a pet can grow faster now than ever, it is tediouse to actually grind them. Even a CL10 requires hours of attention before their ready. If you want your pets to be better than normal, then you SHOULD have a grind to look forward to. However, if you just want a pet to be a pet, then there should be no grind involved.
