i started, once agian, on a relentless bull rancor tear a couple orfour weeks ago..i haven't kept track of the # of missions per say, but i have spentapproximately to 2 mil (2350 uber dxr-6's @ 350k each, 2 150k lesser ones, cases of brandy, and ahrisa..and a few attachments, not to mention buffs)..i have sold items/resources for 5 mil..i am 16 mil ahead of where i started...so i have netted 13 mil doing bull missions...
13000000/18k=722 missions
this does not include wild lairs
i have filled 3 fs boxes, using combat, rifles, ch, scout, and dna sampling
no babies seen as of yet..
what's wrong with me,,? /nervous twitch

i think when i net 18 mil..one thousand missions..i will officially be insane
i guess some servers are better than others..i only have heard of the one tamed by pem on shadowfire since the game went online..i'm sure there are others
oh and a quote from koichi, whom i met the other day on scyllia:

hey good work koichi..but if 70 missions was "ultra rare"..i'd have 10...you don't know how lucky you are..lol

i suppose that is a fair question...mission lairs , i kill the guards and hit a single /attack shot..with a single shot there is never an immediate aggro spawn, then after that wave..it tap to just near the edge of my attack window, slightly above 50%..occasionally i will get an aggro spawn, but with a tenloss acid rifle and a pet to break aggro i can drop even a chargingbull in about 10 shots..
wild lairs i only hit with 3 shots...i kill the guards, wait out the next 3 spawns, killing each as they appear..after 4 dead bulls, i tap with a single /attack shot, kill that wave, then 2 shot's brings the near empty "pile of rocks" to it's last spawn..
i can do a mission lair in under 5 min..i have been diseased only once, i was experimenting and left a bull out who strayed away from the lair and brough out the second wave..the first bull respawned behind me and aggroed..the was the only time i was diseased..
mabey i'm too methodical..mabey i need to be sloppier, lol
basically all i do is buff, tocover specials , go to dath , hunt bulls for 3 hours, and sometimes repeat after a short break when the buff pops, or after a couple hours..sometime i do tham unbuffed, but the rifle ham cost means i need quite a few stim b's..ido over 50 in a day on occasion, but 18-20 is more typical..sundays i watch football and grind over 1million credits

ahh see attack shot does 1.6 damage or someingat novice elite.
you want to acheive the maximum amount of spawning from each lair, so individual taps, I like a rather nifty 8-48 1.5 spraystick I have. Wallop the lair for 4-5 seconds cease fire & itll spawn lotsa critters none which agro.
Simply because youve hit the lair more than once & youve caused so little damage that the lair doesnt degrade

I'm trying a new method to find my baby. I hunt rancor bulls without buffs, weapons or armor.
Here's how i do it. I go to a mission terminal, and join with a L70 pet (or 2 to get to 70) .... with them i can pull 2 Bull Rancor missions. Then i make the pet's stay there, i don't need them.
I then drive up to the lair, with maskscent on, and hope for a baby.....if it is not there, i park my bike next to the lair, and quickly dismount -- attack -- peace -- mount (can be macro-ed) anddrive off ..... it takes a few seconds to shake the upset bull rancor 
... then i drive back to the lair to see if the second wave spawned me a baby. If not, i abort the mission and go to the next one.

)only tried it on 4 lairs yet ..... only came up with the idea yesterday-evening just before i went to bed ... as soon as i get some time, i'll try to do it for 2 hours....check how many lairs i can do ....

actually brer you only get 2 spawns after the initial guards on a mission lair, and five after the initial guards on a wild lair ,,you can't get any more..there are a total of 6 bulls in a wild lair and 3 in a mission..it is concievable if you beat hard on a wild lair you would get less..but no way you can get more

Only downside is that you only get 2 waves out of the lair, instead of the 3.
lol..i think in the time it takes to shake the aggro..run back and tap again..you could just do the lair...bull lairs are very easy and quick if you have an acid weapon....if you get missions in the47 difficulty range there is only one bull and a youth...i use lvl 70 cl and a probot and get level 57. usually a bull, a ranc and a youth..sometimes however there is only a bull and a ranc..18k in about 2 1/2 min..like i said i have made 13 mil trying to find one...and i'm sure i will make a lot more...so working the lair has it's upside..tonight i'll grind another 3-400 k..sigh

hmm.. marlon i've never seen a liar with 2 bulls out that hasn't been tapped...mabey thats why no one on my server has one..lol
not to mention the fs ex..i want to fill the "luck tree when phase 3 comes about in a few days...i hope that willl help..it says "luck" but it dosen't say if it's good or bad..lol

brer makes a good point..with a double spawn out..it would be difficult to take out the 5 others, unless you had a good bit of stims for ham cost...you couldn't use a pet either as it might kill the baby..conceal shot would be your friend here

I gave up on this quest myself lol
however, next time you see a bull rancor spawn lair or no lair try this.
stay a good distance away to avoid agro, might want to use a camp, and log out.
wait about 20 min. and log back in. rinse and repeat lol
I tried this on endor with prowling gurrecks and got 2 babies in about 6 logouts/logins.
it resets the spawn it seems and it was a static spawn not a mission spawn.
never tried it with anything else because of that guilty feeling I got for doing it lol but after 2 months of searching for a p-gurreck I was desperate lol
the choice is yours but it may work.
