I'm totally clueless as to what constitutes good stats for pets in various categories, I'm thinking novice CH, low to mid level grinding, high level grinding, master triplets and twins.

What matters the most to you? How high HAM do you need, is armour essential, is 60% kinetic resist a must, what specials are most important, etc, etc.

Really, any suggestions at all anyone can make would be greatly appreciated. I'm not really interested in making insanely powerful pets and selling them at obscene prices, I just want to be able to offer good quality critters to friends, but I've no bloody idea what's good quality.

If I've missed an obvious sticky or anything like that I apolgise, a link would be much appreciated

Greetings

Under the current system 60% kinetic resists is needed for pve.

Personally I am a master ch and if I buy bio pets I want high end creatures with very well rounded stats. For example my arachne that was bio made named Shiva has the exact same stats as the arachne Queen.

i don't think you have to really care about specials on low to mid-level pets since most chs on the way to master don't even use specials but only send in their pet to tank and get the xp.
so you should focus on armor and kin-res first (at least 50%), after that ham. damage output doesn't matter at all in my oppinion and i hardly see any chs using their pets' specials on command in pve.

most important specials would be stunning strike, intimidation and blinding strike i guess since dizzy and crippling strike doesn't help in pve anyway but those damage-reducing specials can help a lot against high end mobs. i've seen a lot bes creating pets with poison and disease specials, forget about those, they hardly hurt at all to my experience.

a single high-level pet should have the usual armor, kin res to max, some nice energy res and few vulnerabilities. damage usually should be in the mid to high 500ish.
as said only few people use their pets' resistances at all, but master chs surely do it more often than beginners, so some nice specials can't hurt. a high-level pet without any specials at all won't be used by me at all.

master-triplets should have all armor and 60 kin res, dmg doesn't matter again, but a nice combination of specials is very welcome to make best use of the additional pets, you got 3 pets with 2 special slot each, use them!
