Thread: Webmasters... Pre Patch, Rare, Post patch? What's the deal with 'em?

Seen this brought up a few times in the last couple of weeks and no real solid answers yet. People talk abotu selling off rare Webmasters and what not.. What's so rare about them? Are they different from the versions that currently spawn? If so what is the difference?

nothing, they are easy to find and I give them away regularly, i have onein my datapad right now on kauri if you want it.

Oh yeah I got (or had until I released him back into the wild) a webmaster myself, just I've seen a few posts talking about how rare they are and people offering or wanting silly money for them.

Arachne widows are rare, however.

There is a common misconception on prepatch or prenerf pets that I have seen alot
simply put = prepatch "nerf" pets were all reset in our datapads along with the wild creatures.
this does not include Bio pets and extinct creatures/pets
so the only prepatch pet that might be worth having or buying are the extinct pets that are not around anymore since the stats on them were not reset.
Frenzied grauls are an odd exception since prepatch they had babies andpost patch even though they say tamable none have been seen or reported "bug of some kind". The F-Grauls stats were changed along with the hter creatures they just dont spawn babies.

if someone is trying to sell you a 'pre-nerf' pet they are ripping you off or are idiots. There is no such thing, the nerf was retroactive to existing pets. Only 'prenerf' pets worth anything are extincts.
Webmasters are great pets, but nowhere near rare. I've had about 8 in my CH career...passed over dozens more.

i have two main combat pets a BE gurreck and the webmaster i use the webmaster on things that attack with kinetic and the gurreck also but cannot use both as one is lvl 68 and the webmaster 50 my gurreck has 68% energy so i use him when attackign storm troopers and i think the tricks the webmaster does are abit on the strange side, liek the 360 slow spin it does it and the gurreck (Garfield) are my fave pets and im glad i have them
