Thread: Strong Poison?

What effect does strong poison have vs medium poison? Is it more damageing or does it last longer? And what does crippling strike do? Got a Merek Battle Lord last nite and these are the specials he has.

Strong Poison takes 110 per Tick and Medium Poison takes 90 per Tick if I recall correctly. I'll have to look at my Toxic Merek more closely. I can't recall off the top of my head what Crippling Strike does.

I got my first special bar tonight to take me up to 3324. I thought, 'great, I can use my spider's strong poison'. So off I trotted to find a suitable target. Eventually finding a Quenker, I unleash Blinky and he runs in legs a flailing. The poison sticks and I'm so pleased....until I find the strong poison is doing 22 hit points every minute or so.
What a disappointment! I wasn't expecting an amazing poison, but something around the hundred mark would have been nice. 22 was just plain rubbish, my cat does better than that with her breath! I do hope Specials 2 will be better or an I just dreaming? Ah well.
Incidently I was using a Kima initially, against Grassland Voritors and getting 740 XP per kill. Seems to be a good pet for that level of mob. I got the Kima from Talus and they have 5000 HAM and an awesome meow

Bunneh, you need to hit the hills on Talus and find yourself a CL 22 Hilltop Kima, 8000 HAM. Still have the awesome attack meow, too!

My pets strong posion does 110 damage per tick. Are you sure you werent using moderate or mild posion?

did the critter you tested the poison special against have any resists vs. poison? that would skew your testing...

i've never seen a resist vs. poison and i've /examined almost every creature in the game

Yeah, I'm not sure about that "resistance to poison" thing. It wouldn't surprise me if high end mobs have some hidden resistance value for that, but there's no way to verify it that I'm aware of.
I don't recall specific numbers, but I do remember my old giant crystal snake's Strong Poison used to seem fairly useful (post nerf). Could there possibly be varying degrees of "strong poison" that we are unable to see?

ALL my strong poisons tick for around 110 points too, from mereks, to snakes, to spiders, BE'd and natural.

I'm on a trip to Endor tonight to get more XP so I'll try again.
Siobabble, will do. I go get me a Hilltop Kima tonight I love their little faces and the way their little tails flick up when they're walking about. Have to release a pet though
