Thats it. In fact, many companies ignore letters from the BBB. And, SOE may not be a member. Also, how many gamers take the time to go to the BBB website and research a game company? I bet little to none.
Best way to complain about a company is this: Take your money and walk away.
If the company is a member THEY PAY BBB
You honestly think BBB will do something to cut off that income from these companies?
It's been reported about on 20/20 and several other news shows that the BBB is a fraud in itself.
I've actually had decent luck in the past when filing a claim against an insurance company. I filled out the form online, and got a call from the company about 2 days later wanting to review my claim. In the end, I recieved all the deductibles back, a letter of apology....and most of all the recognition that I, the customer, was right......as it should be.
While, I can't say what they are like in the California area, I know it is a decent place in Memphis, TN. It doesn't hurt to try. Anyway, there is also the FTC too.
Additionally, I know many of the online shops ask for feedback on products. I encourage people to provide your feedback of the game there as well to prevent folks from spending there hard earn cash with a company who makes such bad practices as they have done.
