This may be commonly known, and im just a dork for learning it late but......

if you open ur training window, and select say *attack* and u want the command to be "kill" so you say in spatial "kill" and ur pet doesnt learn it, just say it again, and again untill he learns it. You dont have to re-open the training tab and click the command each time the pet fails to pick up the verbal que your trying to teach him. by opening the training commands window you can teach your pet all available commands with out ever having to open it again for that pet as when he does finally learn it, it will re-open itself for the next one you wish to teach.......

This maybe obvious to some, but I NEVER KNEW

Thanks,

My own trick for this is I have a macro setup for each command that can be taught including the ones like "ranged attack" that are not on every pet. The macros are basically saying my preferred command keywords 4 times in spatial. I go with 4 times because even the most stubborn pet learns at four , never seen a five. REMEMBER to do the store command last or if the pet learns before 4 it will store on you which can be a pain.

Once the complete command set is trained you can then just repeat the first 4 commands with the pets new name included to "brand" it then run the macros on those 4 commands again to finish up configuration of your pet.

I know this sounds like a long process but it used to be 5+ mins to keep typing the spatial commands for the pet and now with these macros and the fact you noticed of the training box reappearing once the command is learned , this method has given me a sub 60 second method of fully kitting out my new tames.

Hope this helps you out a little bit.

Thus sets off page after page of responses. Halfof which are honest and true: "You must download the trial and see for yourself." Some are "sky is falling" responses. One or two suspect some trolling and question how the OP is able to post here. And the remainder latch on to one of the questions and debate the topic until flying pigs return carrying the wayward cows.

You might want to consider using a /tellpet macro for each command ....it saves spaming commands in spatial and helps in PvP because opponents have a harder time seeing what you are spaming...only thing that is visible in spatial is "!" when you use /tellpet......also when training new pets people dont get annoyed by seeing you spam "kill" 4 times before the pets learns it.

and if you want to get real fancy you can set up macros with specific commands for your named pets and use 3 pets while coordinating each with a different attack or ability.

Another trick is....

If you have 3 pets out with 3 different special abilities...

Pet1 has KD

Pet2 has hamstring

Pet 3 has blind

Train each one with the same command (example spc1) and then make a macro...

/tellpet spc1

hit the macro and all 3 will do it respective abilities at the same time.

If each has a second ability you can do the same thing with another macro and coordinate your specials.

anyway...my 2 cents

I try and use the /tellpet command as much as possible, it does my head in seeing me speak the same word over and over again nevermind other people.

LOL....i use /tellpet in all my combat macros but for the training one I just used spatial by default...never thought to use the tellpet and since I teach those commands I mentioned within a few hundred meters of the tame point, there is usually no complaints. Also means I get CH xp for the pet even it had no special and I release it.
