As a non-CH can I get my pet (lvl 8 kaadu and lvl 10 bolotaur) trained in fleet footedness.
I have tried opening a training slot but dont seem to be able to.
If I cant open a slot myself as a non-CH, can I pay a CH to open a training slot on them and train them in fleet footedness?

Non-CH can not train abilities on animals because from what I've read elsewhere, the pets do not gain xp unless operated by a CH. You'll have to get a CH to grind them in combat.

Yes, you will need a CH to teach these abilities to your pet. Most will probably do it cheap if you have already grinded the exp.

Ops... didn't know that about pet not getting exp when fighting with non-CH.
