Need to know what level of CH you are and what is your max CL control.
Then we can give ideas on best combo.

I think you missed the question. Do you remember befor the CH publish when 3-2-0-0 would let you use a grual? Is there and set up like that avalible with the new skill layout?

I may be misunderstanding the question too. But under the present skill layout, what you can control is based on your max creature level, i.e. in order to control a graul you would have to have a total max creature level of 30 (graul mauler 35). So, if you are presently at 3-2-0-0 you can control cl 24. (Novice CH starts with max creature level 12, then tiers 1 & 2 gives you plus 2, tier 3 gives you plus 3, and tier 4 gives you plus 5 - er, I think I've got that right).

That's why Zon asked what he did. What is the best pet combo for you depends totally on the level of petyou can control (or planto control). The best pet at level 24 is much different then the best pet at level 30. What ch skills you should havedepends onyou - where are you now, how many skillpointscan youspend on ch.If your goal is to tame just one or two pets, then I'd say concentratefirst onTaming and then Training. If you want to be able to have 2 pets out at the same time, then you're going to need Management 3.

So, again, gonna need more info to make suggestions. Even then you'll get a gazillion different opinions

I just made Master and I am going to 'test drive' a Toxic Merek Battlelord (cl45, kr 40%, dam 370-450) and a Boar Wolf (cl25, kr 50%, dam 240-250).

I use this combo alot on Rancors and Screechers. Along with others targets depending on what I feel like using at the time. But they work pretty well. The TMB will spit and the wolf will tank.

Edit: Also using this in Ft Tusken.

Good luck with this group. Also at master I use my Mountain Dew with either my Rancor, Gurreck, or Blurrg.

Okay try this. Look at what commands or abilities you want, i.e. two pets out at once, and go from there. If you keep going up one branch you will get a higher max CL than if you mixed it up as each level gives the same amount of CL bump. If you want to go with two pets then the Manage line. If you want specials go up the Taming line.

How many points do you have to put into the CH tree? Lets try that.

I have 17 mind points to use after I hit novice CH.

What do you think? should I balance it so I can pull a dwcwnt pet or slam it up one tree so I can pull 2 smaller ones?

This char isnt a fighter so it not for big hunting or any thing, he is a BE/Tailor who need a bit of protection from the ocational creature that hunts him when he gathers from harvesters.

Well Tame will give you specials and agro creatures tame ability.
and Train will give you more pet storage.

Both will give you the same amount of CL for each box, if I remember correctly, sorry I am at work at the moment.

For 17points, I think you can pull in Tame 1-4 for 14points, so maybe Tame 1-3 for 12 and then a box in Train for an additional pet storage for 5 points. That is 17 points. I think the boxes are at a cost of 5-4-3-2 as you go up them.

You definitely need Tame 2 for agro creatures as a non wookiee, and Train will give you more creatures to hold. That might seem like a nice combo of lines to go up. Just make sure you don't need any of the other commands, as only a Master CH is supposed to be able to transfer a CH pet.

Good luck, hope this helps.
