Thread: Autostoring pet bug back?

I hadn't had a problem with the autostore bug for a long time until last night. 4 times in less than 2 hours pets disappeared. My "poof-a-pet" spray must have worn off.

I sent bug reports 4 times, but there is no real category for pet bugs (i guess SWG doesn't think they need a category).

Only 1 time were the pets in battle. One time they were on the way to attack a lair, and when they got there it acted like a stargate to my datapad.

Have also been seeing some strange spacial distortions when exiting vehicles. Is it my imagination, or are some of these problems getting worse?

Bil,

I think a lot of those items like autostore, mounts, not following, vary depending on the server, planet, and probably the server load. I've had a rare handful of autostores since pub 7. But others report it happening more often.

Judging from the amount of posts about it here, I'd guess they've made some changes but don't have it nailed down. I don't know why we should have to guess about that rather than it appear in update notes.

Been using the same pets to hunt on Dant for a month now, and this is the first time of having this problem. Maybe it is a self-preservation technique to prevent server overload. Rather than kicking players, it kicks pets.

I am new to CH but I can confirm this happening to me several times. I only get a Group Disbanded message when it happens. Then, I go to the Datapad but have to Store several times before the option for Call returns. :/

I get the same thing, with pets and vehicles. It autostores for no reason, then no option to call will appear on the radial menu in the datapad. It only seems to happen when the game is being really buggy....99% of the time then...

I've only had the pet autostore problem when I get killed and get cloned, but other than that, I have not had the pet autostore bug lately, but the vehnichle autostore has been a major problem lately.

This happens to my vehicle much more than it does my pets and usually when my vehicle is parked while doing a mission and what not.

It's probably a combination of server load and your location depending on the planet (ie. server boundaries)

I can confirm.

Autostore has gotten much worse since patch 8.
My vehicles are back to autostoreing while I ride them, same with my pets and mounts.
I was about to ask the same question to the boards but it seems I am not the only one noticeing it.

My wasteland cu pa autostored in the middle of a scrum with a swooper leader just N of Coronet (across the river, in fact) last night. Wasn't fatal, but it was annoying, as the wasteland was holding the aggro at the time.

On the plus side, my mounts (except the giant carrion spat, which I haven't called since pub 8) are all autofollowing again. The savage humbaba is using its ranged attack again.

I was having a similar issue a few days ago (wednesday, I think). I was hunting on Dant near the Mining Outpost, and my pets kept poofing in the middle of combat while I was fighting quenkers (I'm on Ahazi, btw). I've had pets poof occasionally, but it was starting to get ridiculous, so I left Dant and went elsewhere. I didn't really seem to have a problem after that.
