I don't think anyone's mentioned this before...

Remove the master: xxxx tag from the /examine window.

What effect would this have?

In essence, this would allow the pets' masters to be anonymous in PvP. One major problem with pets right now is that, in a PvP situation, enemy combatants can simply /examine the pets, identify their masters, and take out the masters. With the masters gone, pets are no more useful than regular wildlife.

Thoughts? Suggestions? Flames?

that is not why pets are useless in PVP. the problem is that players do full damage to pets. there is no PVP reduction for them.
