If I do not have any CH skills, can I get a baby creature to be my pet? Is there a way to tame a wild baby creature, or do I have to have CH skills? A friend gave me a Kaadu, and I want to have more pets. How should I do this?

you need to be a CH to tame pets. But you can use pets that are CL10 and below.

NB: You can use any creatures that are level 10 or below, however you will have to get one that's 'pre-trained' in all the relevant commands as you will not be able to teach it different commands.

Alternatively you could just get a CH friend to teach it for you.

I could be wrong, but as a non-ch you should be able to hold 2 pets of cl 10 or lower in your data pad. To hold anymore than that, or to control a creature of higher level than that, you will have to invest some points into the ch skill tree. Also, as a non-CH, you will have to have a CH character train your pets some basic commands. I hope this helps you some.

You're not wrong. Any player can have two creature pets, provided they are CL 10 or below. The thing is, you can't tame them yourself if you're not a CH. So, for most players, you have to know a CH to get a creature pet, be it for fun or to ride around as a mount (that involves even more CH involvement).

The creatures you can buy on the bazaar are in deed form...you can have them around the house as furniture but they can't be used to attack or protect you. To do that, a CH must tame them and for you to call them from the datapad, they must be CL 10 or below.

Thanks for the help. I assume that pets at CL10 or below are not the ones people have that I am envious of.

Make that non-aggressive creature CL 10 and below. Any creature that shows up red on your radar in the wild is aggressive and you cannot have one or use one without BE clothes that give you +25 Taming Vicious. You can get a pretty good BE non-ch pet that is much better than any "wild" pet that a CH could tame. You still need a CH to tame and train the thing but you can get high HAM and decent resists. Kinetic resists is most important for PVE.
