I few days ago I reached MCH I have been noticing alot of people request the pets just be taught tricks, I looked at the pets and they had the basic commands so I thaught fair enough, but then I visited the Coronet ID tent after some holo emotes and when I got the all I seen was a person using /tellpet and must have been trick, they where burning the action bar in seconds witha novice doc healing them, does anyone else think they should be able to do this?

I have been on both sides of this.

It is hands down the quickest way to get med xp.

As a CH, if you get the request to tame and teach a level 10, tell them you will do it for 200k or more. You can makea good amount of money on it and anybody that knows what this "technique" does will happily pay that.

If you want to know how to burn your bar even faster than the macro, PM me and I will tell you the one I used to go from novice medic to4-4-4-x doc in 4 hours.

As a Master Creature Handler, you could call up to three low level pets. If you issued the Trick2 command, then all three pets would do the trick simultaneously, and you would lose three times the cost to your HAM bars. If you spam it over and over, you can go from full Action to zero Action in probably less than a second, regardless of how high your Action pool is buffed. This will also put a huge drain on your Mind pool, so you would need some combination of Musician buffs to secondaries, two swigs of brandy, orsome canape/ahrisa.

Yes, anyone with a level 10 non-CH pet can just spam the Trick1 or Trick2 commands to drain their Action pool, and it's actually better than Tumbling, because you cannot train other players while Tumbling. Ifa Medic/Doctor/CMedic wants to farm some fast apprentice points, all they really have to do is go to a popular medical facility, pull out their mount (which ironically are used for everything *but* riding these days, and that needs to be fixed), and spam those trick commands; they won't have to wait for Tumbling to stop before they can train people, and their Action pool will drop so fast that they can probably keep up with a handful of people using stims.

As far as the "New Tumblers" situation, people have been doing this with pets for a long time, it's just that most people don't bother with =<CL10 mounts or creature pets because they're not really useful for what they're intended to be used for. After the Mythical Combat Revamp comes to pass (Paul 3:37, we're *still* waiting for it to come to pass!), this will probably no longer be an issue, because medical skills will only heal damage to HAM pools, and special abilities will no longer do damage to HAM pools. Then, and only then, will medical experience come solely from combat (WOOT! MEDICS WILL HAVE A ROLE AGAIN!!!) or from healing wounds.

I heard of this a while ago, not sure how it works but most likely they have /tellpet setup on a recursive macro.

So this means that /tellpet will probably get nerfed, then they will fix macros, then /tellpet will never get fixed

Yesterday, someone asked my CH char if he had a non-CH pet with tricks "to grind doc". I didn't have any as it happens so replied along those lines to which his next question was "can I tame one?".

Normally I'd be happy to help find a creature and tame it for folks - but liking animals in real life was one reason why I chose to be a creature handler and to see them being treated like that in game kind of irked me. Am I a "saddo" for that or what? Also - having mastered Doctor (which I still have) the proper way through healing in groups (when we had those) and in remote places like Dath and Yavin med centres way back, I didn't particularly feel like helping someone to "grind" through it.

In the end I gave the legitimate and true excuse that I was "too busy searching for resources to help at the moment" and that was that.
