Thread: Second Truce

There is a second 'war' going on right now, only its not us against the Devs, its a Civil War. Allow me to sum up both sides of the conflict.
1. We are very angry and have a right to express our anger over what has happened to the CH since this game came out.
2. Ranting will get you nowhere. It is better to try to work with the Devs than threaten and scream.
Now, both sides' arguments have merit, and the individual points made I won't go into here; just read the Truce thread. Between the flying droplets of spittle, good statements have been made by both sides. I will admit that my own feelings fall more into the first camp. However, I dislike seeing our illustrious CH brotherhood going at each other like this, so I feel I need to call a Second Truce, and cease all internal hostilities until these 'workups' the devs are supposed to release any day now, are actually released. SkyPreacher1, I would also ask that you extend the Dev truce until at least these documents are revealed. I hope everyone can agree with this.

There is a problem with this. Documents have gotten us no where thus far. I won't be happy until I see some progress, I am sick of seeing documents because, quite frankly, they don't mean anything as has been proven time and again.
I'll agree to not go at my fellow players throats, but the devs are an open target until we start seeing some results...

/shrug all I saw in the truce thread was tstorm claiming he was the silent majority and arguing with a few senior CHs. Minor skirmish 
At this point all of this is moot anyway, CH is a "closed item" in SOE's meeting minutes. They don't care if we fight with them, or if we fight with each other. We've been dealt with and they aren't going to reopen the CH issue with so many more open item's left to deal with. Our best hope is that the combat balance nerfs everyone down to our level.
I and a number of other CHs quit in December, didn't matter then, won't matter now. They're about to get a massive injection of pilot subscriptions and anything to do with the ground game is gonna go bye bye in favor of "Fixed Tie-figthers tendency to get stuck in a left-hand spin". They're hoping they can toss something at the current playerbase between now and the JTL release and call it the commbt revamp, that's why they hired some contractors, they have to have this combat revamp issue closed by November.
If you don't like the ground game today, it's not likely to get better.

I'll give a truce if the devs will just be honost say that they dont like us to our faces. Our our Monitors. I get confused with things liek that.

Well, seriously... what is that truce for? This is no epic struggle. We have put up a list of what we want with vert. Now we are waiting on results... Or am i wrong??? And as long as there are no results i feel free to express my feelings about the situation.

Excellent post. I am genuinely impressed by the passion I have seen from people here, but I think sometimes our passion has gotten away from ourselves and led us to battling each other, which should never happen.
The nice thing that I've noticed even in this CH "Civil War" is that the opposition isn't composed of 13 year olds posting one-liner insults. There are some good thoughts in there and I hope to see continued, yet more healthy discussion.
