Thread: Want to see CLs and not invest points in Master Scout? There is a way...

For a long time now, CHs have complained that they should be able to identify a creature's challenge. creature, or difficulty level (depending upon what era you joined the game) because they are the most familiar with creatures.

Well, now there is a way to get the same creature knowledge level without investing additonal SP in the trapping and wilderness survival lines, and the master scout box, to be able to see the CL of any creature in the wild.

You just have to become force sensitive and train all the way to the top of the Enhanced Reflexes Survival line, where you'll get a bonus of +5 creature knowledge. It turns out this is just enough for you to be able to see CL. This will cost you four skill points and a LOT of combat XP traded in for Force Sensitive Reflex experience.

I took the entire Survival line as one of my two "free" lines for hologrinding as far as I got (basically, all the holocron profs done, and five additonal mastries beyond that).

You also get a bonus of +5 to creature harvesting at this level.

I discovered this on the way back from the Village, /examining a few critters, and, voila!, I could see difficulty levels again, something I gave up when I surrendered the master scout box 9 months ago.

Nice, that's what i am grinding out the next weeks. But i want to be able to see creature specials without having ranger skills, at least let us see them after we have trained the commands.

While this would be nice, I just keep www.swgcreatures.com up in the background. When I run into something I do not know the CL or specials of I pop in and check it.

I was going to say the same thing!

Don't want to invest skill points in Master Scout? Simple! Just invest real-world skill points into Internet Use; they come from a different pool of skill points!

Thx for the info. I still think tho if you have achieved Master CH that skill should just be given to you. You are a Master at dealing with creatures, so therefore it would seem obvious you know what creature is after having dealt with the animal kindgom for so long.
