I recently decided to acquire novice ch but I only have enough skill points to move up one tree. What tree in your opinion should I choose and why? Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Read the benefits and decide.

Wow Greenstok thanks so muchfor your thought provoking reply. Perhaps if you had taken time to read my post you would see that I asked for player opinions on which tree I should take. Maybe its too difficult for you to give a constructive opinion so you probably shouldn't have taken the time to reply at all. Thanks againfor nothing ....

Well, there are a lot of people who come and ask the same question when they could just open up the skill tree in game and read what each branch does and decide there... thus why you may get a short and to the point reply on the board if someone is tired of typing out the same information over and over.

If you are interested in pet special attack commands go with Taming

If you are interested in stored pets go with Training

If you are interested in Tricks and pet buffs go with Empathy

If you are interested in having two pets out and/or the mount command go with Management (having two pets out for the total cl you will be able to control is probably not the best idea though).

You should take a look at the skill tree so you can see where the various commands are located and decide which commands and bonuses you most want. Keep in mind that only Master CH can train transfer, so if you need someone else to train commands that you don't have, you may run into problems there for pets above cl 10 that you tamed yourself.

/Sarcasm off

Shaylin, thanks for giving me your honest opinion. As for reading the trees,I have done that, but like so many professions in SWG what you see in the tree is not always what you get. In other professions many specials are broken and many things that look good when you read them are in reality totally worthless. I'm assuming by the comments I have received so far that you are all very happy with the way that the trees are set up and that they are all balanced very nicely. I know the CH profession has received more attention that others in the game so I guess that's the reason. The CH community should be very happy because that's not the case with other professions.

I don't think all the CHs are happy with the tree... but it has been totally changed on us Twice since release.

I am talking totally changed... like a new class, not just a tweak here or there.

The current tree is fairly new (Dec publish) and accuratefor the most part. There are some misleading text problems. Such as:

~Novice says +12 max level of pets (it doesnt add 12 to the 10 a non ch has, it's telling you that you have a total of 12 at novice.)

~ Novice says +4 stored pets (it actually does add 4 to the 2 a non ch has, so you actually have the ability to store 6 pets at novice.)

But really it's a personal choice which branch is most important, as it is broken up pretty good. Good luck with the profession.
