Thread: New thought on Bull rancors

So I sent out a message on my guild chat about hunting them and someone stated they had just killed one. I screamed in guild chat and the person responded that he didn't think they were that uncommon as he'd seen many of them. I asked where...
Now here is the interesting part. He told me of a plae called rancor valley, where the FS types go to grind. He sent me a waypoint (Sorry I don't have it with me right now) and I hopped a speeder and took off. I know it's around 3000m w of the trading post.
I saw literally hundreds of rancors. Including wild enraged rancor lairs with 5 rancors per liar.
I'm wondering if the bull babies are ore like yl to come from an enraged bull rancor lair than a normal one. If so, this area might be the key for getting a bull baby.
have any of you heard of this? one note.. lots of nightsisters int eh srea also, so whatch out, and enraged bull rancors have 70% resist to energy.

they only come from lairs with bull rancors..only...not ancient bull rancors, not enraged bull rancors, not rancors without bulls...most non ch's tend to think a gnarled rancor (baby) , a rancor (baby) and a bull rancor (baby) are the same thing..rancor valley is for grinding xp..not many bulls found there

Rancor valley is nothing new. It has been around for a very long time. Many of us have done our grind there...and I never saw a Bull Rancor Baby there. What you got is just what the guy above me described.....nonCHs getting their babies mixed up. Most nonCHs dont have a clue how many different Rancors there are, and to them, they all look alike.

I wondered that also, but then I saw that many of the enraged lairs have two or more regular bull rancors. Nor regular rancors come from a bull liar so I thought the pattern might continue.

Unless something has changed with the new spawn system (that messed up rancor valley), Bull Rancor lairs did not spawn there. Bull Rancor lairs tended to spawn around the science outpost, north/northeast/northwest. Babies won't come from enraged lairs- not even regular rancor babies.
A Bull rancor lair usually has some combination of rancors/rancor youths/ and 1 or more bulls around a pile of rocks.

I spam area attacks on all types of Rancor lairs...if a baby popped out of there, I surely wouldn't have known it...maybe I'll go single kill a bunch of lairs and see what actually comes out.

Hrmmm.. When I was doing my Bull Rancor lair missions last night. it would be a Bull Rancor and Rancor.. I'd kill them and tap the lair... Bull Rancor and Rancor would spown.

This cant be true, can it? As people get them from mission lairs, which have a bull, a regular rancor and a youth, no?
Am I just wasting my time on Dath running missions? Poopak just got one from a mission lair..

I think he is saying that unless you actually see a bull rancor around the lair a bull rancor won't spawn from the lair. Like if you just see an ancient, a regular bull rancor won't miraculously spawn from the lair.

that's what i meant..no bull rancorat the lair..no bull baby
..most lairs with bulls have weaker rancors there, eitherregulars and youths..or some combination of both

So, seeing as I am on Sunrunner..where is a list of CH's I can send tells to...first responder gets the Bull Baby if one pops out and somehow I don't manage to accidentally kill it as it aggroes me?
