I was just wondering, everyone tells me that they are going on rancor bull hunting, to see if they can find some babies.
But what kind of protection do you use against the disease they give?

Personally, nothing special. When I've been Bull Rancor hunting, I've just taken normal buffs and brandy. Never yet tried the resist buffs.
I just accept that getting diseased will happen and it's nice to have a chat with folks when I finally go into a cantina or med centre to get healed up after the hunt is over. Often, they wonder why I have completely black bars

I went out Bull Rancor hunting with a friend on Tarquinas (I don't have masked scent anymore on that toon, so it's always invigorating to go to Dathomir). Even as a TKM, the disease sucks hehe. I can med it off, but my mind was going pretty fast
Thankfully my friend, who is only swords/ch never got diseased.

I've never tried bull rancor hunting with my own creature handler hehe. I might try with my new one on Radiant if I ever get him mastered...

After trying a combination of buffs, brandy, my LLC and my level 52 BE'ed Kimo and getting ripped to shreds, later in the evening I did better with this surprising combination: brandy, LLC, my graul and my BE'ed Woolamander.. both pets are atleast less than level 40. I was shocked. No buffs in that round either. I also found out that it's good to atleast get the bull rancor and rancor seperated when you attack that way you can pretty much not worry about one of your pets dying on you and you can just use the pet stimpack on whichever one is losing more HAM. It also helps if you keep watch and try to stay awa from other aggros.. like the annoying nightsisters and singing clan huntress.

I got hit badly with disease last night. My HAM is currently a mess. I know why it happened though, I got in the same range as my pets were to the Rancor to fire my single lightning shot 1 special with the LLC. Atleast with pets, you can stop disease by storing them after the battle.

ive found that a combo of center / intemidate / warcry /beatdown is pretty effective for us melee fighters against getting diseased by bulls. /shrug since ive been doing this for about 3 weeks on the suggestion of a friend i seem to get hit by about 1 out of every 9-11 bulls i encounter.
The thing that strongle leads me to belive is that is not jsut luck is that i hunt with pets and even though we are fighting along side each other my pets often get hit while i ahve not been.

I think being a TKM helps. I have been hunting them recently and rarely get the disease, and if I do, I just meditate it away. I don't wear armor, but do get buffed, anduse a pet, usually a Graul Mauler. The only problems I have is with the ancients. I needarmor for those.
