Thread: Remember when pets owned pvp?

Well this memory is kind of fading but i remember back at launch CH was extremely powerful (not as powerful as an imp with 3 atsts....or was it two....?) and was awesome in pvp. Back then though there wasnt really in masters of anything and armor and weapons were really bad..........any veterans have any pet pvp stories that played back then?

Runnnnnnnnn and then some imperials rancor got stuck trying to through an arch and me and my trusty kliknik shot it to death.
And I had gametime and showtime my cat squad. That was some ownage watching those 2 sprint after running imperials and who could forget maximus and clyde the graul twins......

Hehe, rolling into theed with a giant peko peko and my guild mates all using Rancors or some other type of hard core pet, it was like attack of the Titans.
As fun as it was i could see how it was killing the game, so came the nerf, then we got to see how out of wack the game really was.
Fun times though.
Not so much because of the pets being the best weapon in the game, more because there was no speeders and no poi waypoints, no PRC shuttle ports all over, you walked everywhere. No armor really and no buffs, and no jedi. It was tons of fun in those first few months. For istnace the first time I went ot Jabas, We went to the cantina in Bestine to ask around, see if any of the locals knew where we could find the Hutt crime lord. A few people gave us some general directions. We walked out there but couldn't find the palace, a few steps later there it was big as day.
The planets seemed so much bigger then, leaving town was dangerous, and if you where going too far out then you had to pack for the trip.
Good times.

Yeah, the game was a lot different then, and a lot more fun.
I remember the day I found Jabba's, all on my own, no POI waypoints. I was exploring around Wayfar and bam! there it was huge and imposing, and I said "Is this what I think it is?" and another player near me said,"yes, it is!". Then I went in, talked to Reelo Baruk, and got the mission for the Tuskens...you didn't need to have an elite profession to take out the two Tuskens, and they spawned inside Wayfar itself.
I also had the privledge of taking two different players to the Lars homestead...it was a great moment when they realized exactly where they were. VERY good times.

I remember once in Tyrena, Corellia kicking back with my bud in the Cantina, Iused my Master Pistoleer title back then. Some guy came up to me and wanted to duel. He started the duel, but I told him let me go outside cause I get to much lag to fight inside. I quickly pulled out my 3 Greater Sludge Panthers and then accepted his duel. He took off running cursing at me as the 3 cats attacked him as he tried to run. Don't know if he died or not but it sure was funny.
I'm a bit curious about were a MCH will sit in pvp. Read about the new hams system with the 4th ham introduced for special attacks. Good so we wont kill ourselves with specials, but hopefully this also will lead to the end of spamming of specials. How will fights go will the person you fight use the specials on you and not have enough to finish your pet, or they go after the pet and not have enough to finish of the CH. Hopefully there will never be a buff for the "new specials bar", or else we'll be in the same boat we are now.

I really hope to see pets be able to beat high level pvpers in a duel again. I remember running from pets and creatures and having a fear of them. Now pets are no more powerful as statues in your house...........i dont really want CH to own people but i would like to see them win occasionally if you use the right tactics.

ah yes... I remember.
oh, wait, I'm a newb and still one level off from master.
what the heck am I thinking???
profession is fun, cause, uh, they're cool animals and all... but why, oh why did I choose to enter into such a nerfed and nearly useless profession!!!???
guess I'm holding out on the devs to fix... but I'll probably drop the profession after a while at best... quit the game at worst.
...oh well.

I have been a Ch since two months after launch, but sadly, I was to scared to PvP. I used a weak gun like most people did around then and was just too afraid that I would die.

Lol I Use To Use MaxJr. He Was A Really Mean Pet. He Took Out A TKM And A Rifleman Alone Once.... Now Armor And Buffs Messed That Up Bad. I Think Thay Should Make Pets Stronger In PvP Again.

Yeah i remember. I used my gurreck and the fights would always be in Moenia. Now its a ghostown
