Well I seems I do not get CH xp anymore when I use my pets for fighting.

Great to be able to call pets from the toolbar, but I'd rather get my XP back....

They fixed one minor issue and introduced a much more annoying bug...

Are you XP capped?

What were you fighting?

When fighting mobs that are 100% kinetic resist, I get no CH xp from them because my pets don't actually damage them (mokk rockshapers, for ex).

One thing you may want to think about if no one pointed it out....you no longer can just send in a pet and have it hit somethign then have it run away and still get XP. The pet must now be fighting the target when it dies.

Apparently they needed to kick the CH's in the teeth while we were done after all our nerfs. But hey it is what we deserve for being the only profession that has to have a second job just to survive. How dare we.

I've run into this plenty of times. Used to happen a lot when fighting high HAM creatures, but I've noticed it with mid-level MOBs within the past few months. Even if the pet stays alive and in combat until the target dies - no XP. Then 2 or 3 fights later and I'll just start getting XP again. It also often happens when I have multiple pets out. One or two might get XP and the other one doesn't.

Really? Hmm... when I was re-grinding my alt to MCH in the past month, I'd send a pet in to attack a group of mobs, kissing each in turn (while someone else tanked), sometimes calling it out of combat after it registered hits on all of them, and I got full xp for all those it would hit- even if it wasn't fighting that specific mob when that mob died. I did find though that if I was not within 70-80m of the mob when it died, I wouldn't get any xp for it (like if my pet chased a mob off 100m to die and I didn't follow).

Although I have run into situations where I'm sure my pets got hits, remained in combat, but still no xp. But usually it's just a temporary glitch.

I misunderstood what he said originally. You wrote what I meant

When did they put a nerf on letting pets just hit something and run? Every patch it makes me feel better and better about getting CH when it did, when i did it even as a new player it was a 1 month investment, if i was to do it again with the skill i had back then I could be taking nearly half a year :/.

I was using freshly tamed mountian squill babies (CL1 thus) vs rills, worrts, rats just a bit outside ME. This normally gives a few XP. It didn't.

Then I went ont further, near Mos Aga'me, using spider and a horselike one(sorry forgot the type of animals, use them so much besides me that their names are more usefull for me then the sort of pet they are), killing few gnorts, rats, kreetles, greater desert rats... Still no XP.

Until I hit a mob of desert demon markmsan. Then I got XP. And suddenly after that I also got XP from fighting creatures again...

You didn't read very well.. Few posts above I already stated I'm not capped nor master (needing 2 boxes before mastering means both).

Besides the point, even as master, I think you will get xp. Every master profession still keeps gaining XP until it's capped.
