Ok, so our Elite level 22 Narg'a are being nerfed from 7k HAM back to basic stats.

Well last night in Theed I was speaking with a few friends, we where discussing stuff and I mentioned some of the new CH things coming up.

The whole time we were talk, I had my 3 Narg's out. People where petting them and suprised to see 3 of them and suprised to even see a CH. SAD!

So, one of my friends wanted to see how he would do in a duel. He wanted me to back up my Narg's and go all out. I haven't used my CH in a few weeks due to not being happy with things. But I was game and wanted to have fun.

So I juiced up. had my Narg's group with me and set to guard.

The duel began. First hit on me rooted me and my friend moved out of my weapon range. My 3 Narg's assaulted him, but before my root could break, 1 Narg went down quicker then my prom date.

Then the root broke and I went after him, I got my own root in and helped my Narg's. Ignoring me, my friend assaulted my cats and another Narg went down. Soon I was rooted again, I did have my friend at half health, but once out of my range, the third Narg fell.

He then cancelled the duel as I stood their with low health and my Narg's all lying dead.

All I could think was that SOE claims we are over powered.

WHAT A JOKE!

So now are Narg's will be weaker. I don't get it.

CH is a combat roll? Where is our place if armor can reach 7k+ kinetic protection verse our pets and weapons reach 1000+ damage? Plus, players have better melee defence then CH pets and better food that works to help them!

So SOE, take a good long hit and hold it in, because if you think we are too unbalanced after spending all those skill points, you are high!

Get a clue...

I totally agree. I can't comprehend why they think CH's are overpowered and won't help our profession.

I have a CL70 BE'd pet with 6k HAM and 455 max damage (I don't use triplets/twins due to your above problem, they die in seconds as if they had paper for armor...) so that my CL70 will last longer and do almost the same damage. It still dies relatively quick when I duel my friends to test it out.

LUCKY for us, in PvP, nobody even attacks our pets first, they go straight for us. Har har har. Oh, wait, that also holds true for PvE. At least we'll be getting Aggression with publish 20, if they don't nerf it back down into uselessness. Pardon my cynicism, though I do think it's warranted...

So you lose one dual, when you admit yourself that you are out of practice, and now assume the devs don't know what they are doing?

Couple questions, were you grouped with your pets? were the combat levels between you and your opponent fairly equal? how much experience does your opponent have dualing (sounds like he knew exactly how to take you down.) what was his profession? Weapons? Armor?

It sounds to me that you are saying that since I did not win this one dual, everything is balanced with the narglatches. Think about it 3 level 22's with 21k total health. Max on a level 70 around 9k, Max on three normal level 22's around 9k. Sounds out of balance to me.

Wait for the new system. Your friend will have a harder time preparing for you because he will not know what attacks your pets have. He could be hit with a knockdown, a root, a snare....

I said I haven't used my CH is weeks. I have other toons, I know how to fight.

My Nar'g where grouped with me and set to guard me incase I was assaulted. I've been a CH for 2 years...I know the drill.

The point I was trying to make wasmy 7k HAM Narg's went down fast. Just think how fast they will drop with 3k HAM. I don't care what specials they give us, its not going to improve their defence verse players doing 1000+ weapon damage.

I also was also baby hunting on Dathomir. I came across a Jedi soloing a Gaping Spider Hunter nest. He didn't even seem to break a sweat. What good is my 1 level 69 GSH going to do to help defend me when needed?

CH provides no natural defence or offence unhancements for the skill points we spend. We are only as strong as the back up skill of our profession and our pets. But if our pets drop so fast, where is our edge?

I don't want to be a FOTM player...I just want things to be correct. I grinded CH from scratch...NO RESPEC! I've been loyal and stayed with it through all the nerfs.

No wonder Luke beat a Rancor with a bone and crushing door...it was a level 50 wuss!

War has made a point that I have already stated several times. The CH profession tree gives no defence bonuses what so ever. Master Doctors get +50 Ranged and +50 Melee defence, we get squat. Some will say "Well you have your pets". Yes we do, but as you can see our's is theonly combat profession that can have our defence/offence capability removed from us while in combat. Imagine if a Jedi suddenly lost all his Force powers, Lightsaber, and all defence mods in the middle of combat? Or a BH loosing all his Ranged and Melee defence, and his weapon in the middle of combat? Or any other Combat Profession.

Hopefully these new changes will help, but I still want to know why we cannot have defence mods like all the other combat professions have.

Looks to me like your friend used crowd control skills (root) which is the way to take down a CH with pets. It is far easier to take down one opponent at a time than 4 all at once.

The poster has a good point but he realy dosn't undertand a Dev's perspective

Dev's are not saying they want to nerf the Nargs because they are too strong overall, they want to nerf them because they are out of balance with all the other pets. That means they are the only pets worth using. It was a mistake on their part that you were ever able to tame them in the first place. They intend to correct that mistake. Basicaly the Nargs are a bug and the Dev's are fixing it. I wish they would/could fix some other bugs instead of that one, but the game is supposed to be played by their rules and that rule isn't supposed to work the way it does now. Its a simple matter of making things the way they intended, not making them the way they work best for us.

You are totaly correct in that the Nargs don'tt unbalance PVP combat. A good player can handle them without too much trouble. I have taken people down with triplets before (my nargs arn't full grown yet).

Tsk tsk the obvious is often overlooked. The greater the difference in level the more dmg the higher level will do. Just as an example....

You have a lvl 70 Rancor with 7k Health and a lvl 21 Narga' with 7k Health.

They both fight a lvl 65 whatever the Rancor will last longer then the Narga.

Of course they got beat in a duel man- your buddy targeted them. In PvE on the other hand your enemies will follow the agro rules and hit you. And when something is hitting you, having 3 nargies dealing dmg can really add up. A Nightsister won't target them the way a player will, and their nickle-and-dime dmg adds up.

Just why shouldn't a CH be able to have a "uber" pet? Other professions get "uber" weapons. You get a set of 6 krayt tissues with damage close to +200 and you can have a T21 rifle that I think anyone would say is "UBER" when compared to "normal" T21s.

The execution date is set ... the tortured screams of tens of thousands of beloved pets and their masters will resonate throughout the galaxies ... cover your ears and cry!
