Whats with all the hype with these things anyway? A female narglatch is practically useless to a CH who has combat skills.
A good BE pair will outdamage a narglatch trio 100% of the time.
The high health is not a factor since they aren't going to hold agro. So whats the point of nerfing them?
Is it to screw the 1% of creature handler community that is CL54 with no combat skills?
I just don't get it.

Because they have 7k Ham, greatDPS, and you can have three out as a MCH. The damage output is great, I have personally used my trio to take down the Katarn with two friends, and we almost got Necrosis last week. But when the next pub hits, they will be no more

Yeah- the appeal of the nargies is that you can have 3 of them, so the dmg adds up, and they have enough health to be able to absorb the occasional attack.

I guess I'll repeat myself and go into more detail.
They don't have great DPS. 321 damage isn't anything to get excited about. 321*3 = 963 damage every 2 seconds won't even keep up with a decent single BE pet. I have a Kaadu with 490 damage. Thats 980 damage every 2 seconds.
I also have a nice pair of BE pets that will do over 1500 damage every 2 seconds.
No, my BE pets don't have as much health as a female narglatch. But since they never hold agro anyway, extra health is just a waste.
I'll take extra damage over un-needed health every time.

Bio-engineers can make Narglatches.

They got very popular because they were easy to get and when in teams of 3 they are quite good for natural pets. Granted right now no wild pet is as good as a BE pet of the same level when it comes to damage, some people including myself like to search for and tame the pets we use in the wild. As I said before, my 3 cats have done really well from helping me kill the Katarn, to helping against Sith Pirates, and they almost ripped up the Necrosis last week (his 1500+ attack is a killer). I have some good screenshots of mine and I will miss them once the CH Pub hits. It was some fun times, but I am really happy about the new system and can't wait until it goes live. They really were too powerful for what their level is and I am suprised this lasted as long as it has.

I hate to sound like I'm beating an old drum but reading the stickies will usuially get you the correct information.

Regarding Elite pets: Elite pets have been intentionally removed, because the new pet ability system is intended to replace them. All Elite creatures will revert to standard stats for their level when tamed. This includes all existing Elite pets as well as any future Elite creatures which are marked as tamable, of which there should be none as Publish 21 will remove the Elite status from every potentially tamable creature so there shouldn't be any confusion. Therefore your tamed Great Plains Stalker will have the same stats as a wild version, but neither will be Elite.
He specifically mentioned the Female Narglatch as being totally unbalanced for its level, and stated that the fact it was Elite was a bug in the first place and it was a "completely broken pet." The original hope of the Elite as a pet was to give specialized pets with better than normal tanking or better than normal damage which could fulfill the role variety that Creature Handlers were inteded to fulfill, but it turned out to be too difficult to balance and not versatile enough. The new pet ability system should allow Creature Handlers to customize their pets to fulfill whatever specialized role they desire for that pet.
