Thread: Pet growth ... ?

Hello all,
I have read the FAQ and stickies and am still not clear on something ...
Both my toons (non-CH) had level 10 non-CH mountable pets.
Neither of these pets converted into usable pets when the publish came in (even though I used the "convert stats to suit the level" option), so I unfortunately had to release them. So my toons now need new mounts.
I bought a BE Cu-Pa, a dewback and a bantha, all level 10, but I have just read a post that says the cu-pa and bantha will never grow big enough to be mounted.
So what are my options? How can I get mountable pets for my non-CH characters?
Also, will I have to use them in combat in order for them to grow?

you will only get the dewback to grow large enough for you , you can get the other mounts via trade with a CH who has trained them up (Cost has gone up between 100k and as high as 250k from what ive seen)

Currently the only BE made CL10s that you buy from a vendor/bazaar that will grow large enough to be mountable are the falumpaset and dewback. Then once you get them, you need a CH to fight with them for awhile and gain them CH xp because they need to be leveled in maturity (via CH xp) to grow in size now (they will not grow in size by just being in your datapad anymore) and only a CH can get them the xp.
NOW they are mountable 
P.s. If a CH finds a CL10 bantha, cu pa, brackaset, etc. etc. in the WILD, those can be tamed and then leveled up a bit and be just fine in size for mounting. It's the BE pets that are slightly smaller in size than their wild counterparts which don't get large enough.
