Thread: Mutated kahmurra...

After days of searching, it feels as though these animals have become rare. I think the past mutated kahmurra I have tamed were not single spawns, but I believe they were roaming with no lair. Someone on SWGcreatures.com said to search east and south and Dearic, but I remember finding them in the mountains around Nashal. If anyone can offer any advice, or has any memories of where they have seen these elusive creatures in the past... please share.

I think I've only run across one spawn location about 1k south of Nashal on the south side of the river.

If I may ask, was this a recent sighting? Also, do you remember if there was any lair?

Thank you for your information thus far....

It would have been in the past week and I don't recall if there was a lair or not. There was no baby so I didn't pay too much attention to them.

You should probably heed the general "Talus advice" when searching. Talus is a backwater, so the load balancing software prevents it from generating much wildlife unless there's someone around to hunt them. What you need to do is figure out the general area they spawn in, then start sweeping an area around that, say up to a kilometer in any direction. Destroy anything destroyable. The game engine will realize somebody is there and start creating more spawns in the area.

That's no guarantee that you'll find the Kahmurra you're looking for in one game session, but it does seem to work as far as the whole "killing stuff generates more stuff to kill" thing goes.

I used to find the west (1-5 km) of Nashal. That was long, long ago though. Talus is dead now.

As Slick has said, it seems just finding any wildlife on Talus is a chore unto itself. The area around Dearic is the only grounds to find anything alive... but I may try the other suggestion. I never liked random destruction, but after all these days I am desperate. For such ordinary animals, I feel as though I am hunting for rares....

I ran across several mutated kahmurras this weekend but they were all mission lairs.

The only ones I have seen after a week have been either mission lairs or guarding the Murra Blanca. Thank you for the update though...

If it's any comfort, I feel your pain. I went looking for a bantha on Tatooine/Bria yesterday. After spending most of the day traveling the length and breadth of Tatooine, I never saw a single Bantha. In fact, Tatooine was pretty well devoid of wildlife over most of its face. I don't know if it was because the load balancer was sending everything over to the adventure planets or if it was busy supplying the hundreds of CL1's to the trainers grinding abilities outside most every city. Whatever it was, it was a very dry day for hunting anything other than worts, rylls and their cousins.

There is no excuse for things like this. Not a single bantha to be found on Tatooine? I do not know what this load balancer is you speak of, but I can imagine how it works. And ever since this game's population has dropped, it is making our profession even more difficult for us. When our livelihood depends on the random wildlife of a planet, and mission lairs give us nothing to tame, this situation is becoming grim...
